Rand: Omnibus 'Abomination,' Will Show If GOP Wins 'Made a Difference'
Breitbart ^ | 12/9/2104 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 12/10/2014 1:22:35 PM PST by PapaNew

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the "abomination" omnibus bill was "a chance to see if electing Republicans made a difference" on Tuesday's "Laura Ingraham Show."

"I'll vote no to any kind of 2,000 page bill that I'm given at the last minute that we don't have time to read, it's an abomination, nobody should support a Congress that stuffs all the spending into one bill, nobody reads it, there are no reforms, no amendments, and it really is probably why Congress has about a 10% approval rate because this is not doing our job" he declared.

Paul added that when the GOP takes the majority it should pass separate appropriations bills, and "this will be a chance to see if electing Republicans made a difference in January and for the next nine or ten months. If Republicans actually do their job and pass every appropriation bill then I think the American people will stand up, applaud and elect more Republicans."

On the issue of President Obama's executive action on immigration, Paul stated that Obama's use of Congressional gridlock to justify the order "appalls me." He also said "I won't vote for this spending bill if it includes money for the executive amnesty. In January, when we have the power, I will also insist that we do it through the appropriations process."

Nice to see somebody in Congress is actually calling them out on these corrupt practices.

Time to monitor elected officials and if they misbehave, THROW THE BUMS OUT.

Politics makes for strange "bedfellows" ....

Rand, Conservatives and now even Nancy Pelousy think Boehner's Cramnibus Bill is complete crap .... (three more disparate groups you cannot find)

Paul Jr. is a very accurate loose cannon. When aimed correctly, he hits the mark.

Unfortunately most of the time he is slithering about the deck.

Beginning to think Rand is a little bi-polar. Once day he has the clarity in all of Washington. The next, he’s a leadership water-carrier.

It appears that the “soap box”, followed by the “ballot box” simply DID NOT WORK! Nobody wanted this sh!t, but here it is from the GOPe.

Time for the “bullet box”, boys and girls. Our country as we KNEW it is over.

well, the newly elected people haven’t taken office yet, so this is a little premature.

Read the article.

Paul added that when the GOP takes the majority it should pass separate appropriations bills, and "this will be a chance to see if electing Republicans made a difference in January and for the next nine or ten months.

beginning to think Rand is a little bi-polar

He doesn't seem to have the filters to hold back once he has a thought. His focus seems to sharpen when the issue is crystal clear, as is outrage over this last minute spending monstrosity.

If I had to choose between a RINO or Rand Paul, I'd choose Rand Paul, no question.

This is the face of the GOP today. Spend like crazy, push amnesty but throw conservatives a couple bones on meaningless hot button issues like stopping DC from legalizing pot.

The GOP needs to find a way to cut spending and entitlements. If the Bush years taught us anything, its that a GOP that spends like Democrats is useless and ultimately self-destructive. But the idiots in charge of the GOP today have given up on fiscal restraint. Its disgusting.

Too bad he has no influence on that fool Boehner who is the republican’ worse enemy at times. Seriously, can we just get Boehner out of the Congressional Leader spot? He is an absolute waste and anyone who voted for him in the primary should be hung for treason. Beck, I would gladly let the democrats have him just to get rid of his sorry arse.
