China and Iran have slammed the United States after a Senate report revealed that the CIA brutalised terror suspects after the 9/11 attacks. The fallout has reached well beyond the US.
China - a country often accused by rights groups of using torture - on Wednesday called on the US to "correct its ways and earnestly respect and follow the rules of related international conventions".
Iran, where America was famously called the "Great Satan", said the report showed the US government is a "symbol of tyranny against humanity".
President Barack Obama said the techniques "did significant damage to America's standing in the world and made it harder to pursue our interests with allies and partners".

gd-jpeg is simply an open source image programming library.
I opened up the image in GIMP, and at 2:1 zoom, the area around the plane appears quite oddly digitized. At 8:1 and 16:1 zoom, it becomes very obvious that the sky right around the plane is vey digitally choppy compared to the rest of the sky.

Quite sketchy compared to digital photos I’ve seen, but I’m no expert.
Perhaps a FReeper with more image knowledge can offer more analysis.
If there are issues on how we apply interrogation methods isn’t that a topic to be discussed within and not announced to the world? What this rotten report is purely political in scope. If you defend this announcement then who are you and where do you stand?
