Congressional leaders unveiled a massive $1.01 trillion spending bill Tuesday night that will keep most of the federal government funded through September.
The legislation is expected to pass in the coming days and will allow the new Republican- controlled Congress to clear the decks of lingering spending issues, while setting the stage for a prolonged fight with President Obama over immigration policy.

Our choices for speaker are Boehner, Pelosi, and a third or fourth candidate. Go ahead, split the vote and put Pelosi in. That’ll be fun. See how this “need another speaker in there” works?

Sorry to say that the Republican’s action during this period is exactly why they will never win the Presidential election! They will never understand that as long as they cave to Democrat ideas, they will lose at least 4-8 million voters in the election, probably more. They continue to listen to the MSM and disregard the people.
Most of us are so tired of the same old political excuses for spending, balanced budgets, smaller government, etc., it is all just a scam to get votes. It matters little who we vote for these days as they continue to vote for the same things. Yes, that does mean that the Constitution is going down eventually in the next few years, if nothing else because of debt. Either way, we will be collapsing due to the debt within a shorter and shorter time frame. Our politicians keep putting off the required changes because it will cost them their election. We should have placed limitations on government service but in our ignorance, we failed. It has led to our destruction!
We have no party to protect the people but we do have two parties that really want power and the ability to control. The choice is yours! Unfortunately, it matters little!

I’m confused. If we’re spending one trillion a yr with some income to offset it how did we go from 7 trillion in debt to 18 trillion in debt in 6 yrs?
