A coalition of 35 conservative and free market groups is urging state officials to fiercely resist the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) attempt to force them to implement ruinous new greenhouse gas emission rules that could double the current price of electricity or face harsh regulatory repercussions if they refuse.
You should send a clear message to the federal government that if it insists on pursuing the regulatory equivalent of punitive energy taxes, it must promulgate and implement that policy itselfand be held solely accountable for the disastrous consequences that will follow, the coalition said a letter sent to governors, state attorneys general and state legislators earlier this week.
The coalition warned state officials that EPAs Clean Power Plan will destroy thousands of jobs and break the household budgets of millions of American families struggling to make ends meeteven if states undertake their best efforts to blunt their impacts.

Climate change was not a priority for voters in November.
The big corporate news is neglecting the EPA wood stove rule for 2015 to go into effect next year, although some business and local government interests are cheering for now. Five years after that, owners of wood stoves approved for 2015, pellet stoves, outdoor boilers and masonry heaters are going to get it.
The reaction is going to be interesting: very low activity and low revenues for at least a generation. The layoffs, other austerity measures and general contempt for government and big corporations will be amazing.

Here’s a novel concept-simply use the Constitution and state flatly that bureaucrats do not have the power to make law and therefore what the EPA is trying to enforce is null and void.

Unfortunately FDR's stooges in the Court of Supreme Whim have long since established the "Precedent" that it is. Mark Levin in his book "The Liberty Amendments" proposes a few amendments to deal with this travesty by decree. One proposal is an amendment which gives Congress and the States the power to overrule the Court of Supreme Whim.
Time to install a woodstove and solar system if you don’t want to freeze sitting in the dark cooking on a camp stove.
