About a third of New Orleans precincts have reported in. They went 80% for Landrieu, but there just aren’t enough votes there to overcome his lead.

Martha Carr @marthacarr
St. Bernard voters have said NO to all new taxes and tax renewals on the ballot. This is gonna be a big hit to government services.

Love my Buckeyes - they are getting ‘er done - 38-0- at halftime. I should feel bad for the Badgers, but, um, I just can’t muster any empathy at this point. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll feel a little badly for them - or not.

Everyone should put their cards on the table simultaneously. I mean, they don't even care about the appearance of shenanigans anymore.

Landrieu now pulling ahead of her jungle primary numbers in parishes like St. Charles +3. So this may not be as terrible for her when Orleans dumps. Could be a -10 to -15 loss.

Obamacare is a pink slip ticket for Democrats.

Her pride was misplaced.

Thank God!

New Orleans is like New York City, its liberal population unfairly punishes the rest of the mostly conservative state with its liberal policies and idiocies

She’s talking about how she fought to preserve our culture...Total lie. If the Democrats actually supported our culture on a national scale she’d have won.

No no no...

She was talking about the bureaucRAT/entitlement "culture" of people who vote for a living, and suck the lifeblood out of our economy. Not to be confused with the traditional American culture.

Just watched the entire “concession” speech. Talk about classless! Boring recitation of all of her “accomplishments”, while lavishing praise on the Landrieu tribe legacy. Continued to talk like the race was still on;

This has been a long time coming, particularly given her initial “win” in 1996 was for all intents and purposes stolen via the corrupt New Orleans voting apparatus.

Curious her closing line suggested she may try again in the future. Hopefully the margin of this drubbing will dry up her ability to raise funds.

Pryor also lost by 18. The other defeated incumbent Demo senators lost by relatively close margins. It will be a race between Landrieu and Pryor for which one loses by a larger percentage.
