What follows is for the benefit of one William James O'Reilly Jr. -- "Bill" to his fans.
Last summer, Mr. O'Reilly, a pundit for Fox "News," spent time talking about white privilege and his contention that no such thing exists. He debated this with colleague Megyn Kelly, and sparred about it with Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show." Part of Mr. O'Reilly's reasoning is that because Asian-Americans (according to him) make more money and are better educated than whites, what we really should be talking about is "Asian privilege."

Took a civil service test once. Posted on the wall. +10 points for being a Vet, +10 for a woman and +10 for being a minority.
Before even starting the test I was 30 points behind many people. Over 100 people took the test.
3 years later they called me up for an interview. During the Interview they told me that I had scored the highest on the test but they had to hire all the people who had a higher adjusted score. Oh and by the way, if hired these people were going to be my supervisors.
How did I feel about that? Well they didn’t offer me the job so I guess my body language gave away what I was thinking.

And ask Dillon Taylor about white privilege. Oh, that’s right, he’s dead from a gunshot from a “non-white” police officer in Salt Lake City, just days apart from the Michael Brown shooting.
Next thing you know the lefties will be whining about “work ethic privilege”.

This guy who you call privileged would love to be placed first in the line for college admissions, federal jobs, government contracting and private jobs. Due to his “White Privilege” he’s forced to get at the end of the line, after unqualified but privileged individuals.
And to add insult, he’s branded a racist if he won’t bow down in abject submission and grovel for forgiveness for being White.
And they have the gall to talk about “white privilege.”
Charles Barkley says theres a reason Blacks do not get the benefit of the doubt. Respect is earned, not just given.
Change culture.
White privelege is being able to find your name on a keychain in the store.
Let’s not be so selective in our comparison examples. Bear Brown was shot by a police officer after Brown attacked him in his car and then charged at him outside the car.
The scrawny homeless autistic kid in Riverside, Ca. was beaten to death on the street by five rabid animals posing as police officers while he cried out for his father to come save him. The kid’s face did not look human after the beating and he died.
The black Mr. Brown deserved to be shot and in comparison, it was a merciful death. The white autistic kid did not deserve to be beaten and it was a horrifically painful death.
White privilege means getting passed over for opportunities in favor of folks not nearly as qualified or interested.
Oh, come on. Don't you get just a bit embarrassed when you're just walking down the street and some random white guy gives you a $100 bill just because you're white?
Yikes! That’s horrible. No wonder people of other races move as far away from blacks as they can. The elephant in the room is that blacks commit the most crimes. If you point out that fact, you are called racist.
‘White privilege’ is the left’s latest agit-prop talking point - an abjectly meaningless phrase that’s supposed to pass for serious debate and summarily silence all dissenting voices (similar to “Koch Brothers,” “Faux News,” “Tea Baggers” and “Haliburton”). More recently, they vigorously pushed the war on women fairy tale, and had their red hats handed to them in November. So it’s time to re-set. We of the alabaster flesh are, I presume, supposed to kneel and confess our sin - the sin of ‘melanin deficiency.” And then sit in the corner until we die. It’s Mao’s ‘struggle sessions’ regurgitated with a shiny new bow. I was born, therefore I am irreparably flawed.
It’s a group identity thing... there’s an expectation that a fairly high number of white people are good - honest - and mostly trustworthy. There’s exceptions of course - go to any prison or jail to see violent white inmates. But overall not that many prison inmates are white in comparison to their share of the population.
There also an expectation that a fairly high number of blacks are dishonest, violent and untrustworthy. There’s exceptions - many - maybe most... . But go to our prisons, jails, and half way houses and they’re filled with blacks. Blacks who have ‘earned’ that place in prison. Considering blacks are only 13% of the population they are wildly over represented in the prison system.
That’s a real problem. Blacks earn their group identity by the actions of a large number of underclass thugs. People like Leonard Pitts Jr unfairly carry the stain of a violent black underclass. Pittman as an individual doesn’t want us to ‘see’ his group because his group’s not respected. White criminals benefit from a white group’s positive identification that they haven’t earned... the opposite of what Pitts has to deal with... an identification he hasn’t earned... but a negative one. In an absolute sense of justice - if each person was an island - Pitts would be right.
Pitts wants the easy way out - shame people into NOT seeing the world as it is... Insist that each man’s an island. - Buy into the PC race card solution. Demand that all people ONLY see ‘the tree’ and never the forest.
It won’t work. It’s not how how humans are wired. There are solutions - this isn’t one of ‘em.
Glad to see that someone else gets it.
Too many people look at this as a theoretical or ideological construct.
But don’t understand that it’s really a PRACTICAL one. Only the useful idiots on the Left actually believe in “white privilege”, the leaders understand that it’s really a mechanism of control and influence. A way of bludgeoning opposition into silence and compliance through shaming, guilt and ostracization.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.
