TREY GOWDY: OBAMA IS WRONG ON IMMIGRATION BUT CONGRESS SHOULDN’T TAKE THE BAIT
FOX NEWS VIDEO ON THE RIGHT SCOOP ^ | POSTED ON DECEMBER 3, 2014 | FOX NEWS

Trey Gowdy argues that Obama is completely wrong on immigration and that he is definitely abusing the idea of prosecutorial discretion. But when it comes to doing something about it, he says that the president wants the ratings of Congress to be as low as his and that they shouldn’t take the bait and shut the government down.

I agree, IRS is a good issue for republicans.
IRS & illegals are universally unpopular.

If GOP is serious about changing direction of country,
most important step is to win White House in 2016.
Otherwise Hillary will veto every conservative bill.

They should take all the illegals who have committed crimes out of prison and put them to work finishing the fence.

Yeah, that and work them real hard doing other things as well for quite a while, like breaking rocks, before sending them back.

It tanked the polls for GOP congress. What helped in 2014 mid-terms the most was the TV pictures of illegal children flooding in, IMO.

The only real poll is an election. The GOP did not hurt itself with the government shutdown over Obamacare.

Kay Bailey Hutchison gutted the Secure Fence Act of 23006.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, the Texas Republican who has led the charge to change the 2006 law, said she wants to give Homeland Security more flexibility and wants local officials and landowners to be consulted.

“Senator Hutchison believes that Customs and Border Protection can better decide how to utilize limited resources to secure the border than a congressman from Maine,” said Matt Mackowiak, Mrs. Hutchison’s spokesman. He said double-tier fencing has worked in San Diego, but it might not be the right solution for the entire fence.
