Oil companies are getting thrashed by falling oil prices. Some analysts predict that there will be no new net investment in the U.S. oil and gas industry in 2015, and the possibility of declining investment in 2016. At the same time, the Environmental Protection Agency is pummeling the industry with a new set of National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone (NAAQS), released the day before Thanksgiving.
Congress has little control over oil prices, which are set in world markets, but it does have authority over the EPA. The EPAs new 626-page ozone regulation, accompanied by a 575-page Regulatory Impact Analysis, would dramatically reduce the amount of ozone allowed in the air from the current standard of 75 parts per billion to a range of 65 ppb to 70 ppb, and EPA is requesting comments on an even tighter standard of 60 ppb.
So defund any implementation and enforcement of these regulations. DFUND THE LUNACY !
BURY THE EPA!!!
Ozone ?
I thought we didn’t have enough ozone. That’s why they got rid of R-12 freon was because it put holes in the ozone layer.
Heard that DuPont’s patent was getting ready to run out on R-12 freon so that’s reason for the ozone whole scare.
Unachievable in some areas during some parts of the year.
.
That seems hard to understand. R-12 has been around for decades....
The EPA is out of control...
I don’t know what you mean by “everyone agreed”.
When is the last time you tried to buy some R-12 ?
I have a large supply in my barn.
Several cases of cans.
Need some?
(I was “prepping” when prepping wasn’t cool)
Better make sure it’s not bootleg. Towards the end some rouge R-12 hit the market and it will screw up the works if used. Anything bought several years before the ban on selling is probably safe. Anything close to the ban or after is suspect.
What prompted you to stock up on R-12 in particular ?
Another question. What good will R-12 be in any kind of survival situation ? Are you going to throw the cans at any attackers ?
: )
I forgot the /sarcasm note.
I’ve got older cars in my collection that I didn’t want to convert to 134.
Well, then, it’s a good thing you stocked up because it’s illegal to make or sell r-12.
65ppb is impossible. How can they lower when their is not complete complience at 75?
