Against predictions, tornado count is once again below average, as it has been for the last several years.
BONUS: Hail also below normal:
Can’t speak for other parts of the country, but here tornado weather is unusually warm and clammy, very still. The clash of warm, moist, unstable air with a strong, dry cold front creates the conditions. It’s comparatively cold afterwards, and windy.

Beat me to it!
Actually, it requires both warm and cold.
You tell me, you’re the one who listed yourself as the author.
You had to fill the box in yourself, nobody did it for you.
You lied, you got busted and now you’re mad.
Advice to Hillary, Slow Joe Biden, etc. Keep your mouth shut and people may suspect that you are stupid but when you open your mouth you are sure to confirm it.
Women and children OK, Climate Liars suffer most.
The Nov. 2013 Illinois tornadoes came with a fast moving very windy front which extended practically the full length of the state. A significant portion of the sky was clear during the passage of the front.
So, it is possible to have a tornado in the colder months (like now)?
Tornadoes have occurred in every month of the year. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a tornado in a snowstorm, but given “thundersnow” I suppose it’s possible.
“You had to fill the box in yourself, nobody did it for you.”
isn’t it possible that he made an honest mistake filling in the wrong box? have you ever made a mistake? give the fellow a break.
Tornadoes don’t form in cool air masses, but you can get “cold air funnels.” A good explanation from James Spann, chief meteorologist for the ABC affiliate in Birmingham, AL, and photos of a recent cold air funnel in that area:

Spann is one of the best broadcast mets in the country and an outspoken critic of climate change.
Amen!
“Global warming will cause more, and stronger, hurricanes”
“But there haven’t been any hurricanes for several years now”
“Well of course, that is because of global warming”
Are you in Tornado Alley?
Have the “experts” EVER predicted a below average tornado or hurricane season?
Yes. Huntsville area. Moved here in summer 2012. Had some within 10 miles or so.
I don’t remember where I heard this but someone once stated that a tornado can cause shortness of breath. I don’t know if it’s because of fear or because of a major drop in barometric pressure.
I had not heard that before.
I have never been in a tornado, knock on wood. It must be scary as hell.
