Louisiana Democrat: Vote Multiple Times, You Won't Be Prosecuted
Townhall.com ^ | December 1, 2014 | Guy Benson

Who's up for a fresh addition to the ever-expanding "voter fraud is a Republican mythfile?  Democratic officials and campaign operatives have been caught on tape encouraging illegal voting on several occasions in recent election cycles, and anti-voter ID activists have literally cheered a swing-state poll worker who was convicted of the practice. Our latest installment comes to us from the Bayou State and features a Democratic mayor and former State Senator, who dispensed some pro tips on voting at a rally in advance of Saturday's run-off election:

Video of Opelousas, Louisiana Mayor Don Cravins Sr.'s Nov. 3 remarks show him telling a crowd in his home town that 'if you early voted, go vote again tomorrow. One more time’s not going to hurt.' Louisianans, like Americans in many states, had the option of either voting 'early' or showing up on Election Day. Taking advantage of both options would be a crime. And for voters worried about criminal fraud charges, Cravins said he had an insurance policy – the re-election of a Democratic district attorney...'Tomorrow we’re gonna elect Earl Taylor as the D.A. so he won’t prosecute you if you vote twice,' Cravins said. Taylor won a fourth term on Nov. 4...Cravins' remarks were met first by laughs and then by wild cheers. Mary Landrieu's campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Here's the video -- toggle ahead for the key bit at around the 51-second mark:

Democrat Mayor Encourages Voter Fraud at Landrieu Event
Incidentally, if the setting of this undercover video seems vaguely familiar, and if the name of the speaker -- Don Cravins, Sr. -- does too, it may be because Cravins' son (and Sen. Mary Landrieu's chief of staff) gaffed pretty hard at the very same event, and we wrote it up earlier. This rally was an oppo-research gold mine.  The organization behind the 'Cravins Family Greatest Hits' videos, the Black Conservatives Fund, has launched a new website in conjunction with the voter fraud clip: OnlyVoteOnce.com.  As you may have noticed, the above video's commentary is provided by Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory, a black Democrat-turned-Republican whose most high-profile contribution to the current contest is this devastating take-down of Mary Landrieu, which has been viewed more than 400,000 times on YouTube:

Elbert Guillory: Mary Landrieu is Not Helping Blacks

The run-off election between Obama rubber stamp Mary Landrieu and Republican doctor Bill Cassidy is this Saturday, December 6th.  Only vote once, Louisianans.

A voter in Louisiana has to have a picture form of ID with address on it to show he/she is that voter. Requirements for voting are on the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website:
http://www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/Vote/Pages/default.aspx

The state now has a Republican governor so every voting precinct who voted in the majority for that candidate, must have a Republican judge. Louisiana is in the best shape now for fairer elections since they have a Republican governor. I have lived in Texas all my life and am familiar with historical Louisiana politics. Bobby Jindal is the best thing that could happen to Louisiana. :o)

Election rigging has been at the heart of the democratic party’s success since at least 1865. Probably before that technically. Look at all the crap they pulled immediately after the civil war with the KKK and the lynchings and the Jim Crow laws right up until around 1965 when they had to take off their robes and find a smarter way to rig elections, steal votes, and intimidate blacks into voting for them. I had a big talk with my liberal family about all of this over the holidays. They were clearly not enjoying the conversation. When we started talking about the mid term election results and what that meant for the Democratic social agenda, they were positively perturbed. LOL. Been waiting a long time for that thanksgiving dinner.

Well when they managed to hijack the kindly intentions of the GOP to implement a kind of bipartisan bribery, they hit the unholy grail.

An elected official encourages lawbreaking...is that legal?

"Not funny."

No keener grasp of the obvious exists.

Then, if it is not a joke and therefore not funny, where is law enforcement? Isn't this equal to suborning perjury? Subornation of perjury is the crime of persuading a person to commit perjury. When a person votes, aren't they affirming they have not yet voted?

Is there no legal liability to the elected official doing this? Are we not getting to be a lawless society, where laws only apply to certain people?

DC political operatives look like Crime, Inc., to this observer.
