In a conference call today, President Barack Obama endorsed Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) in her bid to win her Senate seat, which she has held for more than a decade, against Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
The endorsement will most likely serve as a burden for Landrieu, rather than an asset, as a majority of Louisiana voters do not approve of Obama’s agenda and the way he has handled Obamacare or the economy.
Landrieu has spent her entire re-election avoiding Obama and his policies, which she has largely supported. Exit polling in the November Senate race, showed that there are 5 issues that Louisianians care most about.
Three of those issues involve Obama and his policies directly and Landrieu’s support for them. Voters have an issue with the way the economy has been sluggish, even though the President has poured tons of public money in order to jump-start the economy.
Voters also take issue with Obamacare, which Landrieu infamously cast the deciding vote for. And lastly, voters have an issue with Obama, himself. A whopping 49 percent of Louisianians who voted on Nov. 4th said they “strongly disapprove” of Obama’s handling of the country. Another 10 percent of Louisianians said they “somewhat” disproved.
So, what do you think? Will Obama’s endorsement of Landrieu prove to be detrimental to her campaign?

Y’all underestimate the Landrieu-democratic machine. She has the buses warmed up with 250,00 votes in waiting along with the unused ballots in Fairfax, Co, Va, and Alaska. The dead can vote in La., also.

From reading Daily Kos, the logic seems to be that the blacks are angry now over Ferguson, and the Obama endorsement means they will turn out to vote in the run-off.
A large black turnout would offset any R momentum, in an expected low-turnout run-off election, they say.

Every single voter in the great state of Louisiana must turn out on Saturday, December 6, 2014 and vote against, Senator Mary Landrieu, in effect, destroying her and POTUS Obama, in the most massive political defeat Louisiana and the entire USA has ever seen!!! Obama hates this country and so does Democrat, Mary Landrieu!!! DO IT!!!

The audio last week of one of her handlers claiming she will still vote mostly (97% or thereabouts) should have been the nail in her political coffin.
If the polls are anywhere near accurate, she will lose by about the same margin as Pryor and some other southern Democrats did — in the 17% range.
Stick a fork into her. She’s done!

Black voters made up 21% of early voters in the General.
They are 33% of early voters in the runoff, according to several articles.
Remember, the only non-primary elections Hillary has ever won is New York state.
The Clintons have a media electoral reputation that is much larger than life. Old BJ never won a majority of votes for POTUS either.
