Is this a joke? “People of color and women” are given jobs and promotions far beyond their abilities to stave off lawyers; nobody expects anything from them (from high school to the boardroom). Nobody is ALLOWED to expect anything from them...

White men can’t jump.

Can they read (either print or cursive)? Speak? Can they send a coherent email?
I’ve seen these “graduates” and work with them; in a “white” grammar school thirty years ago they’d be at about a fourth-grade level in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Well, they can’t afford to be racist, whiney, rich-blaming, complaining people who can’t speak clearly in English, disrespectful to the customers and advocating burning things down. And dammit, if it weren’t for all those racist rich Republicans who pay the wages, they COULD BE!
And do they hold contempt for their customers and the people who employ them?
This article is an example of people living in different worlds.
To many of us, minorities have never had it better in America. We look at policies such as affirmative action, and think to ourselves, that a black woman veteran, for example, can write her own ticket. We perceive that due to affirmative action, it will be difficult to discipline or terminate a member of a recognized minority group.
This writer lives in a world in which white men are perceived to have so many advantages in life, and that things are handed to them on a silver platter. Many of us would take issue with his premise.
Contrast the people in her picture above with the people we saw in the streets of Ferguson. One big problem holding them back: Many (if not most) of the people protesting in Ferguson are deathly afraid of being accused of “acting white,” so will never do the things they should do to improve their lot.
Words fail me. Funny though, when Obama was at Harvard, he was made editor of the Law Review even though he never published a single article. Not one.
So he succeeded by actually being below average, because he was black.
The same way he succeeded in getting re-elected while being well below average as an executive and CIC.
Yes, it's just magic! The 5 or 6% of the global population that are white males just have the whole world on cruise control. That's why the almost 90% of the world that is not white just cannot get to countries filled with white males fast enough.
In fact I would bet willing to be that the rate of immigration into any given country is directly proportional to the percentage of white males in that country.
Prove me wrong. The US, which has more white males than any other single country, has more immigration in any given year than all the rest of the countries in the world combined. In fact, ONLY majority white countries have positive rates of immigration

If they are so awesome and have to be twice as good, then where is the list of innovations, scientific and technical achievements?
I don’t doubt the author’s sincerity. She’s too unintelligent to realize that she’s unintelligent. A common theme with her demographic.
What a bunch of pap. The main discrimination in many positions is against Caucasian men. They have no recourse.
Nobody’s chasing them down to employ them; lawsuits can be avoided by hiring Hispanics instead. I’ve seen departments that were mostly black a dozen years ago flip to mostly Hispanic (and the “surviving” blacks are furious about it).
Bingo. The underlying assumption of the article is that there's some magical pot of gold out there, and it's unfair that whites get more than blacks.
There's no consideration given to where the goodies actually come from. They're just there to be divvied up.
It's like the Obama voter after the 2008 election who talked about all the benefits she was going to get. When asked where it would come from, she paused a moment, and then said, "Obama's stash."
