WASHINGTON (AP) — Many immigrants in the United States illegally who apply for work permits under President Barack Obama's new executive actions would be eligible for Social Security and Medicare benefits upon reaching retirement age, according to the White House.

Must work 10 years to become eligible for retirement payments and health care. To remain qualified, either Congress or future administrations would have to extend Obama's actions so that those immigrants would still be considered lawfully present in the country.

Many paid SS taxes while working illegally -- likely using stolen or fake SSN's IMO.

Those payments would not qualify toward the 10 year requirement needed to be eligible for benefits, the administration official said. The official was not authorized to describe the policy by name and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Wrong! All w-2 data that does not match SS master files are kept in the Earnings Suspense File (ESF). Nothing is ever deleted unless it is moved to SS master files. The w-2 data reporting income using bogus SSNs can be moved to the valid SSNs -- it would be much easier if the ILLEGAL aliens saved the old w-2s.

ILLEGAL immigration exploded under the Clintons

This shows the accumulation of some 255 million no-matches in the Social Security Earnings Suspense File (ESF). These are the no-matched W-2, suspended wage data in the Earnings Suspense File (ESF); it exploded under Clinton. Employers submitted annual wage data to SS and this shows invalid SSN's in those W-2 forms.

If I am not mistaken, the Social Security deposited against stolen or fake IDs does not remain the Social Security account and accrue to the benefit of those who are legitimate depositors to the fund.

Questions:

1. On any account, there cannot be multiple payees, can there? I would think that a complaint registered with the SS would get this straightened out.

2. They had to have my original application with my signature to start my account. They knew when I was born and when I got to be 63, eh? No payments before that.

3. If the payee dies, the payment stops, right? SS is notified by the state when that happens and a death certificate is issued?

4. Where is the payment sent? (to the legitimate depositor with a verifiable address or bank account, I would suppose.)

5. How could a "fake" account be set up without making application to SS and getting a valid SSN? You can't just make up your own SSN, can you?

6. Payments are made directly to individuals, not through any foreign government, it seems to me. Where is it stated that the SS would send any other government SS funds?

7. I would have to have a lot more proof to believe what you have said. Where did you get this opinion?

If you have sources for these statements, I would be interested to easily find them.

This is nothing new.

I work with a guy who came to the USA from Russia about twenty years ago. He told me how this works.

Immigrant comes to the USA; gets temporary visa for asylum of some sort; applies for permanent visa and green card.

Immigrant calls home to brother a year or so later. The brother asks, "Well, did you get all settled in yet?"

The immigrant replies, "No; not yet. I'm still working."

SS ain’t going anywhere. Benefits may go to he!! but one form or another it’s here to stay.
IMO it sucks and I’ve been against it from the day I started working a regular job, waaaaay back in the 60s.
I was for compulsory deductions, invested in interest bearing instruments.
But back to the SS/non-citizen argument.

I ‘contribute’ toward schools and don’t have kids in school. Most of the services I pay for I’ll never use.
Aliens, legal and otherwise should pay, a ‘cover charge’ for the privilege of living and working in this Country.
If they are conscientious enough, naturalize in 5 years. Then they become eligible for benefits.

IMO one of the reasons the illegal problem is allowed to grow by both parties is the fact that a lot of the illegals are contributing to SS but not collecting. Helps the bottom line.

Yeah, my grandma, a Canadian, remarried in her golden years to an American. He has since died and she collects SS. I still haven’t figured that out because I thought there was a work requirement (having worked in the US for 40 quarters) and a residency requirement.

Are we stupid or what? Did our parents, and grandparents and great grandparents just simply get it wrong about our nation and its values. Did the greatest generation, who fought against Nazism and tyranny, sacrifice and die on foreign soil so that our American Dream and its values and principles could simply become a joke? This is what has befallen the nation since Obama took the oath of office as president of the United States. Now he stabs the nation in its heart and soul with an Executive Order that allows millions of illegal alien immigrants to become unofficial-official citizens. According to the New York Times Thursday, November 20th, is the date the president decided to shield illegal immigrants from deportation.

There are hundreds of thousands of liberals, socialists, Democrats, and some Republicans in Name Only (RINO) who support this move by Obama to give into the tyranny of relentless badgering at the nation’s walls of law that protect Americans. This action by the president is a culmination of a series of lies, mistruths, and out and out hammerlock tactics that have nearly strangled the lifeblood of liberty from the U.S. Constitution and the laws which protect Americans.

These illegal aliens have plied their tales of woe and of desperation upon the willing ears of sympathetic mainstream media writers and have evoked images of pain and suffering of years on the run. Can you imagine that: years of running from the law which was supposed to be enforced by the Border Patrol agents and the Obama administration. So a criminal who breaks into your home is now given the keys to the house because it is politically incorrect to deny the law breaker access.

What about justice and following the rules that were and should still be the hallmark of this great nation? Are they now trivialized and even scoffed at by the inhabitant of the White House and backroom mainstream media pundits?

Do not be mistaken, this is not an invitation to warm and friendly illegal immigrants who only want a chance at the American Dream. No, it is an out and out invasion by law breakers who have no respect for the laws that govern the nation, or for its language: ENGLISH!

On the verge of going bankrupt with an astounding $26.3 billion deficit, the nation’s most populous state is considering saving hundreds of millions of dollars annually by cutting monthly welfare payments to illegal immigrants.

The savings doesn’t even include the billions of dollars that California spends annually to educate, incarcerate and medically treat the 2.7 million illegal aliens (7% of the state’s population) who live in the state that has so generously offered them sanctuary for decades. It turns out that legislators are finally realizing that illegal immigrants are draining their precious Golden State.

That’s why California officials, extremely generous with tax dollars in the past, are trying to find a way to eliminate welfare payments to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants. The move, which has caused outrage among the state’s powerful open borders lobby, would save a much-needed $640 million a year.

An example of who the state cuts the monthly checks to is an unemployed 43-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico who gets $650 a month for each of her four children and about $500 in federal food stamps and other vouchers.
