I doubt they will be prosecuted, or if they are, they will get a slap on the wrist. Meanwhile, the business owners whose businesses have been trashed, will most likely have lost everything. They won’t recoup anything from these terrorists because they are “poor.”

I never believed it was “outside agitators” involved in the looting (just due to transport issues with the loot).

Surely the business owners had insurance.

Yeah, for sure. Sadly, I’m guessing that some of the looted business owners will not rebuild. I’ve never understood the logic of “fouling ones own nest”. But, this bunch rioters probably has room temp IQ’s anyway.....

And the people of Ferguson should be reminded that the outside agitators managed to slip away without being arrested or burning their own neighborhood.

Have you ever had an insurance loss?

Were you ever 100% whole on the back side of the event?

They probably did but it doesn't reimburse for employee job loss. It wasn't just the owners who took a hit....

They are irrational; there is no explaining this to many of them. I posted yesterday that the area should be left as it is; the white people should remove the burned-out hulks of cars, fix/rebuild the businesses, etc. - just leave it.

It would NOT surprise me to hear the great leader odumbo will provide the funds (by EO) to rebuild Ferguson into a finer better place for his Bros........Further, it wouldn’t surprise me if he included a Disney World to go along with it, free for every black in MO.

I think there are outsiders involved in at least the planning of these terrorist acts. They just might not be in Ferguson for the actual riots.

I noticed that Al Sharpton stayed away from Ferguson the day the Grand Jury decision was announced.

I assumed a lot of the whites were “outside agitators”; as they seemed ignorant of the danger they were in and didn’t seem to participate in the looting.

It’s also possible they didn’t have insurance because of the neighborhood. Insurance companies are reluctant to insure businesses in high crime areas. If the owners could get insurance, the premiums would be sky high. They may not be able to afford insurance.

Looked to me like most of the protesters are young. So they most likely weren't around during the 1960s when race riots were common, especially after Dr. King's assassination. Many of the communities destroyed in those riots never recovered.

I agree. Insurance companies are risk-adverse. They insure against potential losses but have underwriters that assess their risk. Ferguson is no longer a good risk for many insurance companies to take. My guess is that many of the smaller businesses will not be able to rebuild in Ferguson because they can't get insurance, now that this mess has occurred. Or the premiums will be go sky high to cover the increased risk of being burned down again and they won't be able to afford them.

My question is, who in their right mind would rebuild a business in this community again? I will take years and years for Ferguson to reclaim its good name and remove the bad reputation this incident has created.

I totally understand what you're saying. Most of the time, there is not 100% recovery from loss. There have been a couple of times with car insurance I came out ahead; believe it or not. I think you have to have the right carrier and sufficient coverage. Here's an example.......

When Hurricane Ike flooded lower Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas in '08 my son and daughter-in-law lost everything. But, through Dave Ramsey, they learned to get "Replacement Coverage". They got a brand new modular home on their land and an entire house full of furnished and not one penny came out of their pocket.

Disclaimer:Do not expect the above to happen very often because most Insurance Companies will do everything they can to screw you.
