What do y'all think about the riots in Ferguson?

Posted on 11/26/2014 10:28:50 AM PST by Jim Robinson

What do y'all think about the riots in Ferguson? Rocks, bottles, bricks, Molotov cocktails thrown. Stores looted and burned. Private property destroyed. Cars burned. Churches burned. Smoke, tear gas. Gunfire, including from automatic (assault) rifles. Looked and sounded like a war zone.

Dang. Almost as bad as those tea party rallies the DHS has been warning us about.

Wait the Ferguson protests are VIOLENT? I never heard this on the news!!!!! They said they are so peaceful and just like MLK fighting for civil rights.....I thought it was those nasty Tea Partiers who were violent. That’s what the news said. So it must be true! /s

I think it was good for the ratings of the news outlets.

Happened right on cue exactly per script.

It showed how utterly contemptible the media is in driving their agenda.

The number of participants is tiny in comparison with the population of the surrounding regions. My impression is that the number of actual protestors is in the hundreds, especially when you account for the enormous number of media participants.

"Ten thousand channels" can easily mean "ten thousand reporters" and "ten thousand camera crews."

During the student protests in Chicago back in 1968, the number of protestors was far larger, and those were largely organized by outsiders.

It is becoming clear that these protests are bought and paid for. 99% or more of ordinary people have declined to participate. They don't represent anything other than a media event.

I blame my white privilege. By working all my life and paying taxes I FORCED these gentle street animals to steal cell phones and liquor.

I guess getting the angry mob to fire bomb your property is one way to force an insurance company to rebuild it from the ground up. Makes you wonder.

...

Somehow the media and the Ruling Class will find a way to blame the riots on the tea party (and climate change).

The more successful leftists are in getting what they want out of this situation (weaker law enforcement and more micromanagement of it), the higher the crime rate is going to be for the very people they claim to care about - it’s the same old story from public schools, to welfare, etc.

Even if they do nothing policy-wise, they make police more hesitant to act and more prone to second-guessing. That’s going to mean higher crime.

These people love to blame everyone else for their problems when they are their own worst enemy.

Sign me up for the counter-protests. You know, the “riots” that plant flowers, pick up trash, and make a city more civilized and livable.

Jim,
My takeaway was the fact that the RAT governor chose “optics” over the protection of the citizens of Ferguson and their businesses on Monday night. And the fact that you have at least two Black female state legislators calling for criminal acts to be committed in the name of “social justice.” Missouri has a bunch of RATs in their government that need the boot, starting with their governor.
