Later Tuesday in Austin, people are planning to protest the grand jury's decision not to indict the Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing Michael Brown.
Occupy Austin put out a message on Twitter promoting a rally in front of the Austin Police Department at 6 p.m. Tuesday, less than 24 hours after a peaceful protest that stretched late into the night Monday. "I can't tell you how many times here cops have been brought in front of the grand jury and exonerated," said Harrington. "And that's not the function of the grand jury to exonerate them. The function is: is there enough here to go to trial? For any other member of the community they're just routinely indicted and sent to trial."

I live in Austin too and that is 100% my experience as well.
Chief Acevedo just made a statement that any violence will not be tolerated like it has been in Ferguson. Woo hoo! Way to tell ‘em!

Austin is NOT at all a rep of the state of Texas. It’s left over hippies and greenies and self-righteous ‘mother Earth’ types that could not exist in any other city.
And the Austin TV stations (KVUE, KXAN, KEYE) are excreting the Mike Brown propaganda like an overcrowded Ethiopian diarrhea ward.

Actually, Austin is the Warren Buffet of cities. Has all the liberal creds, but does not tolerate racial strife. Period.
I should add old-money Austinites are philanthropic: the money is spread around, with honest hegemony. Add in a Los Angeles Police Chief with a rep for putdown, the recipe works.

Anyway, I saw about 50 marchers lying down in LA, playing dead, but that was about it.
You've got to expect these morons to at least play along somewhat...They see others doing stuff, so they get exited and want to do something...It's a sheep, zoo thing.
