According to the Pew Research Centers Hispanic Trends Project, 6.9 percent of K-12 students had parents of illegal immigrants in 2012, while far less 1.4 percent of all students were illegal immigrants themselves. Nevada had the biggest percentage of students with parents who were illegal immigrants, followed by California, at 13.2 percent; Texas, at 13.1 percent; and Arizona, at 11 percent.
The figures come from a new report that says there were an estimated 11.2 million illegal immigrants in the United States in 2012 (the latest year for which there is data), the same as in 2009. (The report notes that the number of unauthorized immigrant adults with U.S.- born children may be higher than its estimates because these numbers do not include those who live separately from their children.)

Agreed. No net gain of illegal immigrants from 2009? That’s what the report says. I, for one, am not buyin’ it.
Everyone should be going to townhall meetings and confronting their reps as to why we allow illegals to enroll their kids in school and when are they going to stop it. Its absolutely insane that we let them put their kids in school.
Cluster. Nobody knows how many illegals are here.
IF you make an illegal immigrant legal....
They are still illegal... and will always be illegal until they leave..
then they will be illegal immigrants that left..

13% in CA schools had illegal parents. I’d say this number is low by several magnitudes. If I had to guess.... 40+% are either illegal or an anchor babies.
Short answer: Because the U.S. Supreme Court held that the Constitution requires it.
That’s what you get with socialist schemes

I want to scream every time I hear a politician or news reader on TV use that number of 11-12 million illigals!
The same number was being used over a decade ago. There must be 20-30 illegal aliens in the US now!
