The Economist removed a cartoon from an article on its internet edition that has been characterized as anti-Semitic.
The cartoon was removed Tuesday from the weekly publication, where it ran alongside an article published on Jan. 18. The cartoon appears in the print edition of the magazine.
An editors note appended at the end of the article titled Negotiating with Iran: A Big Gap to Close, about the difficulties between the United States and Iran over negotiating changes to Irans nuclear program, read: The print edition of this story had a cartoon which inadvertently caused offense to some readers, so we have replaced it with a photograph.

This picture may actually be correct. It may only be the Jewish (Israeli) and Christian (Zionist supporting) lobby that are keeping Obama from signing a catastrophic agreement with a murderous regime committed to the destruction of Israel! I do not believe that it is anti-semitic. In fact, look at the comments below the picture...I think they are basically saying the same thing that I am.
The leaders in Iran who call for the destruction of Israel cannot be trusted. That said, I do not believe that the people of Iran should be punished. We can lift some sanctions (like Saffron and others items) while targeting the nuclear capabilities of Iran.

Funny how the truth gets people more riled up than fiction!

to the Iranian IslamoNazis, the United States of America is their number one target, their “Great Satan”
and let’s remember, alas, that they’ve even named their topmost USA cities to destroy (NYC, LA, SF, and I can’t recall the rest....?)

If that’s the cartoon, The Economist should have outed the sources of the complaints. It can’t be anti-Semitic, obviously, because Iranians are Semites. The mullahcratic ruling class, however, uses Semitic muscle to help keep on the lid. Thanks frithguild.

The theory is that the congressional seal has a Star of David on it, leading to an inference that the Jews control Congress.

From this Jewish perspective, that cartoon can be taken as more anti-Obama (for reaching out to the Iranian mullahs) than anti-Semitic. That’s probably the real reason why Abe Foxman and the ADL are so offended. (Sorry, can’t resist the temptation to take a dig at Foxman.)

Im sure that Obie and his buddy there would LOVE this one,,,,

I remember that picture. Michelle’s pants were way too long and this is not the only time she has worn clothing that do not properly fit. Can’t she plan ahead for alterations? It’s not like she can’t afford to have her clothing tailored to fit.

Truth be told, though, Barack Hussein Obama AKA Barry Soetoro (I think, so far) has had a brilliant political career in part due to his service to Congress and the Electorate. In short, he's a man who cares. Why just yesterday, after 18 holes, he offered to monogram one of Nancy Pelosi's golf balls! Is it any wonder the people's press adores him.

The Economist has always been a POS anti-Israel rag...... I noticed this at least 20 years ago. The British version of smugly anti-Israel and a lite version of anti-Semitic.
Some Brits still smart over the Jews driving them out of Israel so f ‘em! Same idiots who allow themselves to be overrun by pedophile Pakis and other assorted Islamic riff raff. They picked their poison and it is Islam and being enslaved by EU membership

The theory is that the congressional seal has a Star of David on it, leading to an inference that the Jews control Congress.Since Obama hates Israel, the Israelis have been extra-energetic about cultivating ties with Congressmen and Senators. Israel still has lots of friends there (Congress) despite Obama and his gawd awful State Department.
The cartoon is stupidly saying that Congress is wrong to hold back Obama from having closer relations with Iran which I means caving in 100% on Iranian nuclear bomb programs.

I understand the posters who don't like Foxman, but that's irrelevant, the cartoon is classic antiSemitism. To those who say it's anti-Obama, that's a matter of opinion. I'd agree with you, the point seems to be the Zionists are preventing a deal with the mullahs due to Jewish influence on Congress. IMO, a major mistake, but the Economist has other interests.
