Smoke billowed from burned-out buildings and sidewalks were strewn with broken glass Tuesday morning after Ferguson erupted over a grand jury's decision not to indict a white police officer in the killing of unarmed black 18-year-old Michael Brown.
Firefighters were dousing the blackened remains of some businesses and at least one was still ablaze. Some Ferguson stores that weren't burned had smashed display windows, but the streets of the St. Louis suburb were mostly clear.
Monday night's protests were far more destructive than any of those that followed Brown's Aug. 9 death, with more than a dozen businesses badly damaged or destroyed. Authorities reported hearing hundreds of gunshots, which for a time prevented fire crews from fighting the flames.

Small businesses create most of the jobs in this country.
In Ferguson, those are gone forever.
The rioters made sure no one will ever invest there.
Ferguson’s orgy of mayhem and destruction may just have dealt it a death blow.
But then again in life, we all get what we truly deserve.
Yes, I would agree. I doubt many businesses will remain in the area besides liquor stores and pawn shops.
They used too much garlic anyway, served them right. /s
When the republicans take over the rest of congress, we also need to have an investigation into all those groups behind the protests and riots. That would be some real justice for Ferguson.

More likely it will have to wait until a Republican comes into the White House.
The Meat Store had photos of hands up on their windowframes. A lot of no good that did. It was hands up and around their looted products and destroyed store displays. Worse than animals and no justification for this wreckless behavior.
Some stores had signs that said they were BLACK OWNED.
Made no difference.
People wanted to simply get even and they didn’t care whom they hurt.
No sane business owner would ever want to open a business in that community again.
Yeah, I know, the democrat party has become so corrupt we are going to have to demand investigations into all their wrong doings to save this country from them. I would expose the media in that too. Their thirst for power will not stop until they destroy this country and rebuild it in their own image.
I know it is a longshot but if we can expose their corruptions, we might be able to peacefully get this country back to sanity. We will have congress and it's up to us to keep them in line and going forward getting this country back on track. The results of the last election does give us some small amount of hope but we will have to keep the congress critters in line and continue to remind them, they work for us.
