It's a strange world you live in. Since you decided to cite your warped view as "fact", care to provide any to support your inane comments?
Very gradually beaten to death, calling out for help from his sheriff dad.
ALL the cops got off --no jail time, nothing. The beating happend ON VIDEO, in the most public place in that city.
No cops spoke out about it, and the PD first tried to simply imagine the disaster away. The Blue Wall of Silence --the police reaction to the beating-- is much more important than the fact the beating took place in the first place.
The ONLY reason why there was a dramatic public outcry was the dad had the presence of mind to snap a PHOTO while at the morgue --no other reason.
You guys are bullies, plain and simple. And you target PROPERTY.
Increasingly, the robbers ARE YOU, the threat IS YOU.

Actually he’s correct... If there was a kid pointing a gun at you (that reasonably would be a toy) when you went out to get your morning paper, you wouldn’t shoot him, I wouldn’t shoot him and neither would any sane adult.
And if you did, you would and should, go to jail for a long long time.
In the 70’s my BIL was a cop. Changed over the few years on the force. Came by my house in his cruiser one day, pulled a pistol wrapped in plastic out from under his seat. Said it was his throw down, and all the cops carried one. I had never heard of one.
A few months later he quit. I went to school with him for years before he married my sister. I asked him why. He said he realized he had developed the “Cop Attitude”. Everyone was a cop (included immediate families) or a perp. Perps had either broken the law, or would someday. Which was I? While he was a cop, I was a Perp. He said he spent his nights with cops, dranks with cops, and socialized with cops. He said all the cops he knew felt that way. This was in a city of over 150,000.
