“It’s a strange world you live in. Since you decided to cite your warped view as “fact”, care to provide any to support your inane comments?”
Actually he’s correct... If there was a kid pointing a gun at you (that reasonably would be a toy) when you went out to get your morning paper, you wouldn’t shoot him, I wouldn’t shoot him and neither would any sane adult.
And if you did, you would and should, go to jail for a long long time.
You don't show a location, but it's pretty obvious that you never lived on the east side of Cleveland.
No he is not correct and neither are you. Your comparison falls far short of being applicable. This cop wasn't going out to get the morning paper, and it wasn't in my yard. The cop was responding to a call of someone brandishing a gun in a park, something that, in Cleveland, could mean gang activity or any number of things.
Should he have shot? Maybe not. I think it's possible he could have sought cover behind a car or a tree. But I wasn't there, nor was the poster who said it is a "fact" that "most" cops join the force so they can ""...come to work everyday and want to use force on anybody". That was a moronic statement at best, and one that he lacks any real evidence to support.
