'We Will Not Engage': Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty
breitbart.com/Big-Government ^ | 11-23-2014 | Robert Wilde

Posted on 11/23/2014 6:23:38 AM PST by servo1969

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, “Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen?” Bachmann replied with a question, “Do you want the truth? Okay, I’ll tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!”

In the weekly meeting called “Republican Conference” in the House of Representatives, “we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty,” she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.

“They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn’t even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing,” Bachmann said.

She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a “brilliant strategy.”

"We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

I suppose he could have signed it on Air Force one as he did here...."President Barack Obama signs an executive order streamlining the export/import process for American business, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in a conference room in flight aboard Air Force One en route to Toluca, Mexico

But I have yet to see a photo for this New Immigration Signing...which I understand was to be done in VEgas??

An Open Border is Amnesty. Obama megaphoned illegals to come so, it has changed. Do you realize how dangerous this is what he has done.

People have to wake up, yes, to see the republicans in the leadership role is the problem.

We don’t have a general for our army so, it gets worse day by day..we only have the conservatives up there to rally behind now...that or a million march to overrun the sellouts to make changes of what they are doing.

The president has three and only three legal mechanisms to direct his will, executive orders, presidential memoranda, and presidential proclamations. Anything else is without Color of Law, therefore anyone of his minions can be prosecuted for violating the law and at this point the stature of limitations is greater than his time remaining.

No matter what kind of true believer they are, how many are willing to go to jail or at a minimum spend a fortune defending themselves?

Obama's announced administrative actions will be new...

And you belived him?

And you believe believe Obama won't create unconstitutional administrative actions on amnesty, when he is saying that he will, and when he has a track record of creating 24 unconstitutional Administrative Actions on Obamacare??

Show me the memo or EO that creates new unlawful administrative actions.

Stop with that nonsense. I never said that he has already created the administrative actions on amnesty.

No. Open borders are open borders. Amnesty is amnesty. Only the congress can declare an amnesty and make citizens.

Nothing has changed. People are still coming from the border. Obama is still not deporting as fast as he should.

Nothing has changed from a month ago.

Show me a document where he directs unlawful actions.

Is there a different solution to managing eleven million illegals? Seriously, what in the hell do we do?

Deportation reform.

Deport Baby Deport!

A million a month, that's all we ask.

If there is no administrative action on immigration, there is no administrative action on immigration. Period.

The time for action is when he does something unlawful. That's why Obamacare is in front of the Supremes now. He ordered something unlawful.

I don't do the lame-stream media. You might believe them. I don't. They have been wrong too many times.

I'll go to the source to find my documents. There was no EO.

Same thing worked in Alabama. Even after judicial activism removed some of the laws, illegal aliens left the state. RINOs & media pundits on Fox News made great efforts to make people forget the success of self deportation so that they can say there's nothing they can do.

I just read one illegal commenting that he had spent thousands of dollars preventing deportation in the courts.....why not have filed for citizenship in the first place rather than thousands to stay here????

And here...they appear to be concerned they’re going to get “scammed”....according to the Associated Press.

Metro Detroit immigrant advocates said they’ll need time to analyze and digest the changes ‘before’ large-scale efforts to help what will likely be thousands of families through the application process.

“The first step is to educate the community...””” We want to make sure that people are not getting scammed””” said Adonis Flores, immigration organizer for the group Michigan United.

The group plans to hold an informational community meeting Dec. 7, and later application fairs, likely in February.

“We’re going to need people who can get qualified through the Board of Immigration Affairs to walk people through the process and make sure that they don’t miss anything,” said Michigan United spokesman Erik Shelley. “And then documentation, get them work permits…

“And then just watch the garden grow.”

One of the few things Romney got right was the 'self-deportation' thing.

Too bad he came out in favor of amnesty later.

You are arguing semantics. The president has created 24 unconstitutional "memoranda", "proclamations", "administrator actions", or what ever the heck you want to call it, about Obamacare.

We now have parts of the executive branch bueracracy that are carrying out those unconstitutional "things".

We now require either defunding which congress won't do or lawsuits to stop these actions, which is what we are now seeing in court.

We will require the same for amnesty when Obama issues his administrative actions as he has promised.

Obama and his regime have no fear of violating the Constitution. Neither will the ruling class enforce it. No one will hold His Heinous to account for any violations. Benghazi, the IRS Scandal, Fast & Furious etc., etc., etc., etc. What ‘hearings’ there are is all kabuki theater.

Dictatorships, defacto and actual are born in this manner.

Obama is in a win-win and he threw down the gauntlet and dared anyone to stop him. This guy’s not stupid. He’s deviously clever.

He’s goading the GOP into doing something to arrest his lawlessness. If they do attempt to hold him to account, he intends to incite a Ferguson on a national level. If they do nothing, he abolishes the Constitution by default and gets away with lawlessness.

If the States attempt to act outside of his wishes, well the courts and Holder have demonstrated they will bring the array of federal might down on the states to force compliance with their decrees.

A defacto dictatorship - regardless of how you want to define it.

It’s so amazing the time energy and great work the Mexicans put into ‘organizing’ their protests and advocates fighting in our government and through various agencies here in the USA.....imagine what they could do in their country if they did likewise there????? Why aren’t they????

IMO They want freedom in a ‘Host’ country because they’re unwilling to lay their life down for a country they wrecked when they can come here and play our system and our government and take over ours... None of which they built nor contributed to.
