'We Will Not Engage': Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty
breitbart.com/Big-Government ^ | 11-23-2014 | Robert Wilde

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, “Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen?” Bachmann replied with a question, “Do you want the truth? Okay, I’ll tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!”

In the weekly meeting called “Republican Conference” in the House of Representatives, “we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty,” she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.

“They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn’t even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing,” Bachmann said.

She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a “brilliant strategy.”

"We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

Is there any good reason to vote in the next election(s)?

You’re correct. If anything good is going to happen, it will have to come from street level conservatives.

Yep. We are on our own.

Yeah. We also need to break the attitude that we're supposed to sit back and whine about congress not doing anything. The defeatists need to go away and stop helping the left by trying to spread their demoralization.

We got work to do.

Here is the easiest way to get Barack Obama’s dope addled brain to understand he needs to back off on his dictatorial law breaking:

Just cut Moochie Obama’s budget to the bare bones.

* - Eliminate most of her paid staff of beauticians, hair dressers, protocol advisers, etc. It is obvious by now that trying to improve her appearance, her taste, her carriage, her poise or her manners is a futile effort.

* - No more tax-payer paid all night Rap and Hip-Hop dope parties at the White House.

* - No more Wagyu Kobe beef and buttered Lobster pig-outs while she forces her starvation diet of corn husks and dandelion roots on grade school kids.

* - No more flying to NY for million dollar Date Nights.

* - No more separate Boeing 747 aircraft trips for Moochie on family vacations and overseas junkets. Fly with the family or stay home.

* - No more taxpayer paid muti-million dollar globe trotting vacations for the Mooch and 300 of her closest cling-ons.

This date will be noted in history as the end of the Republican Party.

It will become official after the 2016 “elections”.

I’m done with them.

How does one ignore an executive order

What EO? There was never an immigration EO. Obama just played a lot of people. He's no closer to amnesty today than he was a month ago.

No EO.

I actually think this is a good idea, i.e. not to engage.

1) Ask yourself whys does Obama want this battle now?
2) What does his pronouncements really do?
3) Will his pronouncements have any real effect?

In my opinion is that Obama got on the TV to babble on about some idea that is mostly Psyops directed at the Mexican vote.

Facts:

It does not establish law, this is not a minor point because while he claims he is shielding the illegal’s from deportation, US citizens who help or hire illegal’s can be prosecuted. A “the president says I can” defense is not a valid defense in a court of law. No sane person is going to take this chance.

Congress can review it per the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli Act and state the Executive Order “has no force in law” exposing all of the government minions jealously guarding their retirements to later prosecution. Again “ I was just following orders” is not a valid defense in a court of law and the statute of limitations will not expire until the next president is sworn in. Would you as a civil servant take the chance?

It will not be effective anyway. The current estimate of the people who actually went through the process and became citizens under 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli Act is only around 50,000 (see http://www.cis.org/krikorian/bush-precedent-obama-amnesty-not-even-close).

He has completely ignored how he is going to pay for it. This is huge because in the government minions must have valid charge numbers that however convoluted it may be must trace to a Congressional Line Item. This would run counter to Simpson-Mazzoli so it cannot be done. Cross-charging is a terminatable offence so we should expect a great deal of foot dragging on this from the lower level minions.

So why now? Why this fight?

And most importantly why fight on ground of the enemy’s choosing?

I say ignore him.

“The GOPelite sort of approve of the Obama amnesty policy; they just disagree with the process.”

Is there a different solution to managing eleven million illegals? Seriously, what in the hell do we do?

Damn those who allowed the number to get so high. Expect that number to now increase exponentially.

The only sure indicator of what the Republicans have in mind will involve the government funding that has to be dealt with soon. That is about all they can do until the next Congress.

Illegals are no more or no less better off than they were before. We're just distracted with the "A" word again. As long as there is no border security there is amnesty.

Bingo

As of yet I cannot find it in the Federal Register either so no EO, no EO number.

Everybody on our side is in a twitter over what known liar’s says it does.

Agreed, people are being played

Agreed.

The problem is that the amnesty talk is a distraction again and again and again. Until conservative wise up about the game, we will be beaten and we deserve it.

Every 2 years, Amnesty comes up like clockwork and we “stop” it only to leave the borders wide open for illegals to give themselves amnesty that way.

The Army Corps of Engineers could get it done in short order.

Frankly I don’t care what it costs at this point.
