Wynn Resorts under investigation for potential money laundering

Federal agencies and offices are reportedly trying to determine if the casino operator violated money-laundering laws.

A range of federal agencies and offices are trying to determine if casino operator Wynn Resorts violated money-laundering laws, according to The Wall Street Journal, which cites anonymous sources.

The Journal says the Internal Revenue Service and Drug Enforcement Administrations are working together with U.S. Attorney’s offices in Manhattan and Las Vegas on an investigation into Wynn Resorts, including what safeguards the Las Vegas-based company has in place to prevent money-laundering. The agencies are working to uncover any potential evidence that Wynn may have violated laws as part of its sports-betting and casino gambling operations.

“We are not aware of any investigation of the company and no agency has notified the company that it is under any investigation,” a Wynn Resorts spokesman said in a statement. “As a highly regulated business we are in a constant dialogue with regulators and governmental agencies on a variety of matters and the fact that information is requested from us by a governmental agency in no way implies the accusation of wrongdoing by the company.”

Wynn WYNN 1.01% is the latest casino operator to find itself the subject of a criminal probe related to money-laundering. The U.S. Treasury Department began investigating Caesars Entertainment CZR 5.81% for possible violations last year in a probe aimed at the company’s flagship Las Vegas hotel and casino, Caesars Palace. And, earlier in 2013, the Las Vegas Sands LVS 1.89% agreed to pay more than $47 million to settle a similar probe that involved that casino’s failure to alert the government after a high-stakes gambler made a series of large, suspicious deposits with the casino.

The casino is an ideal place to make transactions, except for all the cameras.

And all you need to bundle is a bunch of people.

Is this why Vegas was chosen for the One to declare himself Emperor? He wanted a two for one special where he could go after Wynn at the same time?

“The owner has Las Vegas connections to Harry Reid”

This can’t be true - otherwise, how could this have happened.

Unless, of course, he has been deemed “no longer useful”.

It is SO EASY to turn “dirty money” into “clean money” at a casino.

How many casino's does Steve Cloobeck's Diamond Resorts own? If Steve Wynn's casinos are an ideal place to make questionable transactions, so are Steve Cloobeck's Diamond Resort casinos.

Let's review today's events.

It is announced that Steve Wynn a big Republican donor and critique of Obama is being investigated.

Meanwhile, Steve Cloobeck a big Democrat donor and the chairman of Diamond Resorts, plays golf with Obama on Steve Wynn's golf course.

Just sayin'.

Harry Reid’s connections have their own Vegas strip casino now a competitor of the Wynn up on the strip a little where the Sahara used to be. Reid’s family member was the lawyer securing the deal.

It's probably just a mere coincidence, but hasn't Steve Wynn been a vocal critic of The Emperor?

Just asking.

If you want to launder money safely, then move it through a government agency like the politicians do.

0bama knows that he is safe in the sense that no one would take him out and turn him into a martyr. But, 0bama’s conduct as been reckless resulting in many enemies here and abroad. Just look at his performance in Australia.
A plot to disable him through illness is much more likely because it would require a prolonged and detailed investigation. At the onset, it would be difficult to attribute a disease to a plot. Infection, drugs that produce Parkinsonism, cause heart disease, stroke etc are all possibilities.
I don’t think 0bama will be eating at any casinos in the near future.

Well I guess that picture answers the question.

But then what happens?

It sure doesn't seem like anybody is doing anything to fight back against this bullying . Maybe they can't? Who knows. Not good anyway you want to look at it.
