Either the Congress was informed months (years) ago of these changes (and has been playing us), or the President must await Congressional Review of Major Changes.

Is this like ‘notice to Congress’ before releasing 5 Taliban commanders from GITMO?
To: Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America
What it is is grounds for a suit before the Supreme Court.

In all of the raised voices from congress critters on this subject, I have seen no one mention this.
Which begs the question:
Does congress actually know the law?
To: old curmudgeon
They do not read or write the laws they pass.

I’ve been looking at the law the last few hours and ran across this section.
Doesn’t it say that Congress has on the order of 2 YEARS to review major changes?

come now Obama read previous laws. remeber he is graduate from Harvard. Even the store clerks in Cambridge Masachusetts know that either the Harvard and MIT students cannot either read or do math. So Obummer had someone else read this for him. Joe Biden or Bo the dog, you know either one of them has more smarts than Obama. Look Biden gets led around, just like BO the dog.

States can go directly to the Supremes for an injunction for an unlawful EO affecting them.
The Congress can't.

I understand that.
Neither do I write the traffic laws, but it is not an excuse for getting caught doing 100 MPH on the interstate.
This story should have been posted by some congress critter, not by someone here with a screen name.
All the more credit to him.
He should ber in congress.

District Court, I believe. The one for DC.

What it is is grounds for a suit before the Supreme Court.
Wait until chief jester, er I mean, chief justice Juan Roberts puts his interpretation to those grounds.

"(ii) CONGRESSIONAL ACTION.No major change may be implemented unless the Congress specifically provides, in an appropriations or other Act, for funds for implementation of the change. Seems to spell it out very clearly, including funding.

Even John Roberts will have trouble turning “2 Years time to review a major change” into a tax.

Nope. That's a long wait where a train don't come.
It needs to go to the Supremes, if there is an unlawful EO.
Otherwise, run the clock out on this congress, and let the next Senate pass one of the already passed House immigration bills and send it to Obama.
Right now, Obama is no closer to amnesty than he was a month ago. But he sure did rattle a lot of cages with his yapping.

I sure hope you are right!
It's hard for me to have confidence in the SC any more, not that I had all that much before.
