It is unthinkable to execute the child of a criminal, and that is exactly what the so-called "rape exception" advocates.

I can't.
I understand the argument. I sympathize with the emotion. I can't agree with it.
Because it would make me agree with killing an innocent.
And I can not do that.
I would make the same argument against executing a pregnant woman.
How about kill the rapist on sight, if the woman doesn’t want the baby, she can adopt it to about 100 million others that want children.
ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!! I GOT RAPED NOW THERE IS A INNOCENT BABY IN ME, GET IT OUT OF ME KILL IT NOW “OHHHHHH THE TRAUMA.” OH BOO FRIKKIN HOO. AT LEAST YOU GOT A CHANCE YOU SICKO BASTARDS THAT WOULD KILL A CHILD.
SICK FREAKS.
Discovered many years ago, that one violent act should not be the cause of another which can and does impact the victim far more than the original act, not to mention the baby involved, who is at the mercy of the decision to end a pregnancy.
We can solve a lot of the abortion problem by sterilizing everyone with an IQ below 95 and above 130.
While you can argue against a rape exception, it is ultimately to the advantage of the abortion crowd.
The fact that less than 1% of abortions are rape related (Guttmacher Institute, 2004) means that holding out for that last exception continues to allow the 99%. The simple fact is that by the most liberal standard, 95% of abortions are simply a means of birth control.
A large majority of Americans are against abortion as a means of birth control. That is the argument that has to be made.
Allowing the left to control the false narrative continues the status quo. Anything that saves children, even incrementally, is preferable to the continued slaughter of millions.
Turn the tables on liberals.
Tell them to write a law that prohibits abortion except in cases of rape and incest.
Tell them if they can get that law out of committee, you’ll support its passage.
Don’t worry, you’ll never have to follow through.
BUT!
If such a law were passed and faithfully implemented, it would save over 1 MILLION babies per year.
Would you really worry about making a compromise that saved 1 MILLION babies per year?
You need not be satisfied, but you’d have to be gratified.
Would God be upset that you’d been a part of saving a MILLION babies per year?
Would He be more upset if you passed up that opportunity?
Here’s a good compromise: don’t abort the child conceived in rape; execute the rapist.
Yeah but she has to abort the baby. Giving it up for adoption might hurt her feelings #liberalLogic
They managed to write the article with slamming “protestants”, bravo
A time is coming and will soon arrive when a conceived human being implanted in the tissue of a woman's body can be removed from her body and placed in an artificial womb until birth age. Until that time, how will we as human beings address the right to life of the alive unborn other human being?
My old neighbors adopted a boy who was conceived via rape. He is one of the gentlest men I know.
We have a very precious five year old grandson who is the product of a date rape. At the time he was conceived his mother was a 31 year old single mother of two.
And that pregnancy started out as twins! The afternoon our daughter cam to me and showed me the sonogram picture of two babies, I wrapped her in my arms and assured her that somehow we would get through this, and that we would all of us, her dad and mom and her sisters would camp out at her place and take turns helping to care for those babies. Four weeks later, another sonogram revealed that one of the twins had simply stopped developing. The surviving twin is a healthy. happy little boy who has been adopted by my daughter’s husband of four years.
“The fact that less than 1% of abortions are rape related (Guttmacher Institute, 2004) means that holding out for that last exception continues to allow the 99%.”
On the contrary, the left uses the emotionally appealing “rape exception” to keep the other 99% legal. How would you ban abortion but still allow it in cases of rape? It could only come down to taking the woman’s word that she was raped, which means, as long as there is a rape exception, any abortion ban is simply “the honor system”, and business continues as usual.
I applaud you and your daughter for being true to your beliefs. That is how God works in this fallen world.
For those outside of His grace, the Law is the only standard and making inherently flawed laws is what fallen men do. Attempting to move those laws closer to God’s Law is every christian’s duty. Waiting for perfection before supporting any change is not only foolish, but sinful.
