Total BS to ALL polls run by and for media, merely so they can tell us how we feel about "xxxxxx!"

No need to. The point of my comment was to highlight what you said - that there is confirmation bias - and thus no one at FR should trust any polls posted by posters. Right?

If there is confirmation bias, then the issue isn’t what could be done but what should be done. Right? People could stop putting polls here at FR and/or Jim could accept or reject all of them - but should anyone then take any poll here with a grain of salt if what you said in post #11 is true, and it is best to not trust any of them?

Wrong. I said "media" polls should not be trusted because they are dishonest push polls. Confirmation bias had nothing to do with why polls should not be trusted. When you asked why many freepers felt that way when they disagreed with the results and accepted the polls when they agree with them I said THAT was a result of confirmation bias - the tendency to trust information that supports your opinions and reject information that conflicts. I don't give much stock to media polls in either instance, there's always an agenda with modern MSM. And I did restrict my assertion to "media" polls - polls commissioned by organs of the MSM: CBS/NBC/ABC/NYT/WSJ/Fox, etc. etc.

While anyone is certainly free to put just about whatever polls here that they wish, are the aforementioned media polls the ones that you personally don't like or don't think should be placed on threads here at FR? Just asking for your opinion, not for you to just say that is Jim's job.

While he certainly calls the shots, you at least have your opinion on this. Perhaps everyone here needs to know that these media polls are indeed junk and not to be trusted.
