A small percentage of babies are born with both sets of organs (or some hyrbid). It don’t see any moral issue or scandal with allowing those individuals to pick one of the two genders and live our their life that way.
In my day, we called them hermaphrodites. As with most of the other belief systems and definitions I learned, that probably has been thrown out, too.

This is NOT a case of some mentally ill person “deciding” they want to be a different sex.
This is a case of a true genetic mutation, which in my opinion, should be handled very differently from those sick individuals who claim to be “transgendered”.
Now I understand. I think she and her family were right to obtain surgery in order to define herself as early in life as was possible. That is a baffling, upsetting condition that has always occurred in some manner. How do you tell the grandparents? No one expects this. This is different than deciding to destroy or toss out well presented, well functioning systems that were present at birth.
