It never dawned on them that blacks statistically commit more crimes? I mean, their culture glorifies crime and thuggery. What do they expect?!
It is called “disparate impact.” IF something (like laws against theft, violence, or laws enabling self defense) affects blacks more than other races then it is automatically deemed “racist.”

No it does not, as dems usually black dems run these big cities and are crooks themselves. Memphis is a hot bed of crooked Dem politicians at all levels.
Any sane white person has fled the city unless they live in a gated community, or now mandated to live there if they work for the government. Now they are fleeing the county into Mississippi or into the surrounding counties where crime is low. And property taxes to boot. Even your car and house ins drops the minute you cross Shelby Co line does not matter if you go to MS or into the surrounding counties. Car takes the biggest ins drop.
We did last year. I finally ‘nagged’ enough, that he was to old at 72 to be on the roof of a 2 story house, and I was scared to death of the crime. Our car was broken into, we had a man killed a few blocks away. Several cars were broken into at the same time by the same gang on a single night. Crime is very MOBILE.
