Obama’s Unilateral Amnesty Really Will Be Unprecedented – and Unconstitutional
Daily Signal ^ | 11/19/14 | Hans von Spakovsky, John G. Malcolm

According to the Associated Press, as well as House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Reps. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., President Barack Obama’s plan to provide executive amnesty to more than five million illegal immigrants is no different than unilateral actions that were taken by Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

However, this claim plays a bit fast-and-loose with history and fails to explain the significant difference between Obama going against the will of Congress, which considered and rejected the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act on several occasions, including when both houses of Congress were controlled by the president’s party, and Reagan and Bush who made administrative corrections designed to carry out congressional intent.

Here is what should immediately happen.

States like Arizona should go into emergency session and pass legislation in their states explicitly denying these illegal aliens access to state programs and services, essentially refusing to recognize Obama's executive order.

State can cite Article I Section 8 "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;" and say that Obama's actions are unconstitutional because: 1) they are not uniform, and 2) the power belongs to Congress, and the states are following the laws passed by Congress.

When Obama pushes back like he did the last time in Arizona, the states can say that the Courts already ruled that there needs to be one set of laws for all the states to follow, and that set comes from Congress.

Get as many states as possible to rush through this legislation, and make Obama fight all the state legislatures and governors over this.

30 state legislatures against 1 arrogant dictator.

Take the fight to Obama via the authority of the states.

King Obama not only will win this but there can be no opposition to his unconstitutional act. No political person can object. He has found a gold mine of the acquisition of millions of new potential voters for the Democratic Party. He is on his come back and the Republicans hands are tied. I hate this but wait and see.

When I read of the history of the events leading up to the Tea Party in Boston, I enjoyed reading about then Governor Hutchinson’s manor being ransacked by the angry citizens.

Our politicians now enjoy full protection from the low citizens; that’s why they do what they do.

We’re not relying on Roberts. He’s not the only justice on the Supreme Court. And an injunction doesn’t need to start at the Supreme Court. Any federal jurisdiction should apply.

If the Feds refuse to obey a Supreme Court ruling, then it falls to the states to enforce immigration laws, and failing, it falls to The People. Both are dangerously close to civil war and/or anarchy.

I just contacted my congressmen about Obama’s use of unilateral authoritarian executive orders like a Chavez wannabe. Everyone on this thread should do the same.

OBAMA’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL AMNESTY TO MIGRANTS THAT ARE LIVING ILLEGALLY IN THE U.S.A.

After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.

The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.
