I’d start pointing out to the Hispanic community that this thing is time-limited, and when it does sunset in a few years DHS will convieniently have all sorts of data on the illegal registrants that can be used to find them and arrest them for deportation.

There’s no way, I think, that a Republican president goes the EO route. Even a Bush or a Christie (God forbid). If there’s a big enough backlash (as I think likely) I don’t see a President Hillary doing it either.
