Dozens of vehicles, including a bus carrying the Niagara University womens basketball team, were stranded, and even snow plows got stuck in the deep snow.
"It started to get bad fast at about 2 a.m. [Tuesday morning] and we came to a dead stop and haven't moved since," Niagara coach Kendra Faustin told The Associated Press in a phone interview Tuesday night. "It was a rough weekend for us on the court and it just won't end."

Well of course, that’s what made it snow in November in Buffalo. Just ax them. :)
Niagra?
Sounds sorta’ like a racial slur.

Having been in numerous blizzards and having just these last two weeks been well below zero(Not that anyone on the east coast cares, mind you). I say it sucks to be them! :)
Best of all - it's an Enemedia (ABC) website !
This university looks like it’s right in the vortex of the snow belt. For them not to be aware of the potential for snowmageddon is unbelievable.
Back in high school, I was trapped on a bus with a girls basketball team. We were there for four days. It was in Orlando and it was eighty degrees. Those girls sure liked to post up.
I’m no weather expert like Algore, but this snow has the potential to stay on the ground for a long while (reflecting heat). It could be a long, white, winter in that region - again.
It snows in upstate NY? Wow who woulda guessed.

I once crossed Lake Champagne on the ferry to get to Plattsburg from Vermont in February. I'm from snow ridden Boston. I was in awe of the winter scenery, deep snow, icebergs. The amount of snow on the New York side contrasted a lot with that on the Vermont side.
The horror! Did they go “Donner Party”? Kids today are such wimps.
This was a wymyns BB team, after all.
I know nothing about Niagara University, just hope that they found a way to keep warm in that bus.
I just saw this on Twitchy and I heard this AM that a man was found dead in his car, under 12 feet of snow. He wasn’t an old guy either.
Very frightening weather they are having up there.
If you look up the Blizzard of ‘77 you will see that it started exactly the same way. We had a huge snowfall in early and late November, intense cold in December and the blizzard in January. The effects of the blizzard were magnified by the 44” of snow on the ground from the November storms.
Someone should write an opera about their bus trip ;)
