The body fluid of a 26-year-old Indian man, who landed in Delhi from Liberia, has tested positive for Ebola virus, even as another man in Rajasthan showed Ebola-like symptoms.

The man in Delhi was admitted to a health facility in the African nation in September and treated for Ebola. He was carrying a disease-free certificate from the Liberian health ministry, claiming he underwent treatment successfully and was cured of the disease.

The infected Indian who reached Delhi on November 10 underwent the mandatory screening at the Delhi airport. His blood tested negative for the virus.

But when his body fluids were checked, his semen tested positive for Ebola in two different government laboratories in the last two days.

The tests were conducted at the National Centre for Disease Control, Delhi, and National Institute of Virology, Pune.

Your body overcomes Ebola but the males seaman has Ebola for 2-7 years. There is one way to make sure he doesn't pass it along.

Allowing people in here unhindered is inviting the deaths of minorities, and the poor. Thanks Obama.

Unless another gruber comes out of the shadows, you will never hear liberals admit this is part of Obama care.

Ebola in India?

Uh, oh.

I read a 20th Century history of India not too long ago.

Before World War 2, the British were jubilant if they could keep Indian plague deaths below 1 million each year.

India has a population over 1.2 billion.

Bangladesh, on its NE border, is the most densely populated country in the world, at around 150 million.

Pakistan, on India’s NW border, has 180 million.

China, just across the Himalayas, has 1.3 billion.

More than 40% of the world’s population lives inside the Pakistan-Japan-Indonesia triangle.

“Your body overcomes Ebola but the males semen has Ebola for 2-7 years. There is one way to make sure he doesn't pass it along.”

I'm not sure it is that long - IIRC it is more on the order of 7 months. But I might be wrong. Regardless, it is still in the male body for quite a long time.

The male doctors that we “cured” here in the states are also roaming around with Ebola contaminated semen. (So three now? The two early ones, and the more recent NY guy)

But I'm sure they can abstain from sex for many months. And lets hope they don't think a condom will take care of it. Okay - they have a 90+ success rate for birth control I imagine. BUT - they would have to take it off at some point!

“Wow - you were great. Now please excuse me while I step into my biohazard room and dispose of this in my Level 1 receptacle and then go through decontamination.”

Also - how would one go about safely giving a sample? I guess “do it” in your own bathtub into a sealed test tube. Bleach down the tub and the outside of the test tube tube, take a shower, then wrap the test tube in bubble wrap, and bring it down to get tested.

What a hassle - I sure hope I don't get Ebola!

Then tell me why is it spreading even in the areas that aren’t living in sewage , eating dead monkeys, living in huts in the jungle?

Because it isn't. It has completely wiped out remote villages as you mentioned. But in the crowded slum (West Point) that they cordoned off in August, it did basically nothing. So they reopened the slum and went in and pulled out the sick and the dead. Their epidemic control is in shambles, but still there is no big epidemic there. On average it is spreading slowly, although there are bigger flairups in those remote villages or sometimes in the cities when there are no controls and people cart the dead and dying around in taxis.

Ebola virus can be present in semen long after the person recovers from the disease.

No, I do not personally dislike Indians. But, Indians take American jobs, suppress American wages. We do NOT need to be importing cheap labor, whether from Indian or Mexico and elsewhere. SEND THEM ALL HOME.

What happens when it spreads there? Can India contain it? Will they even want to? At ~70% mortality they solve their overpopulation of poor people. From what I’ve seen of Indian’s caste and class values, I can easily see them allowing this to happen.

The semen testing seemed a bit excessive. You would think a blood draw would be less embarrassing for everyone involved. In poorer countries it is probably cheaper and just as effective.

Hey. Not to worry. We have our Ebola Czar on the job. He is controlling the flow of "news" from the propaganda organs to the Stupid People.

What could possibly go wrong as long as we can keep all this potential panic (and discrimination) under control?

Reread the source. The blood test was negative. The semen test was positive and thus necessary. What would be embarrassing for everyone involved would be him starting an epidemic in India. It has been previously reported, even by the suddenly lame CDC, that the virus may persist in semen for months, without affecting the rest of the host, but with potential spread to others as a STD. It does eventually clear the semen without further care, probably over 3-6 months. BTW, that does make medical sense; the testicles are a special case in a variety of other ways.

Based on your knowledge of random males, would you bet your family's health on the promise of a random male to remain abstinent for 6 months? I wouldn't and considering the potential size of the stakes in India I'm glad they don't either. If you don't like it just avoid India until your six months are up.

Next step, find a really cute male ebola survivor for Obama to, um, embrace. Then sit back and watch the MSM try to spin their way out of the consequences.

I have not heard about the issue of infected sperm before. Any man that has had ebola is going to be very unpopular. This means that African Ebola survivors traveling into the US with a ‘clean bill of health’ could kill a lot of American women and perhaps a lot of gay men. Obama is going to have to be more careful.
