Nelson has obviously been suffering from Dementia for years, but the Northern transplants adore him! Of course, they all suffer from a similar mental disorder known as “liberalism”.

Nelson will be replaced by Jeff Atwater (Florida’s CFO) soon. That is if he wants to move to DC.

Why do we need to worry about cloture if the Democrats abolished the filibuster?

The elderly are going to keep sending the clown back to DC and it doesn’t matter to them how much he hurts the rest of us.

Not really. The Oil Sands is a huge complex of hydrocarbons and Canada is the 3rd largest reserve nation on Earth next to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela! This effort to stop the Keystone is the cover for extreme green radicals who want to block the entire development of the Sands. They want it stopped, which means we would be forced to purchase more and more oil from terrorists. There are trillions of dollars in sellable energy in Canada that will also be carried, refined and sold in the US. One needs to realize the Sands will also be a gigantic boost to America’s superior heavy equipment and oil services industries, which will supply the future development. The artificial shutdown, limits a huge supply of energy that will need to be purchased from terrorist nations, takes our wealth and makes terrorist states stronger.

These hydrocarbons lower the cost of heating homes, of electric power, of chemical production, of fertilizer, of the cost of food, health products and the building blocks of thousands of products. This also makes our industries highly competitive bringing new factories to our shores. Also our wealth does stay in the US, and the sale of these products overseas does reduce our trade deficit, and our debt.

Fracking natural gas itself in America has increased each household’s disposable income by $1200.

It is not an overstatement for North America - it is a huge resource which is why the green extremists are so bent on shutting it down.

According to Senate rules, that was for judicial nominees only.

I’d like to see either Jeff Atwater or Adam Putnam (but I think Adam won’t run) or Will Weatherford...

Yeah - I was a little surprised by this “summary”.

True. You need 60 votes to “stop” a filibuster - IF there is a filibuster! (Or unless Reid “wants” only 51 to stop a filibuster on something HE wants to get through.

But, the vote is done: 59 - 41. So, why is the bill not going to Obola for a veto?

How many of the Dems who voted for it are up for reelection in 2016? This show vote was set up for failure as soon as Landrieu demanded 60 votes for passage.

M. Landreau:

Tomorrow morning declare your switching parties to Republican or independent who will vote with the Republicans.

That’ll smoke some brains!

Buncha pussy Democrats.

Nelson is no surprise. He looks like he suffers from dementia. He’s somebody’s puppet if the press would only look into it.

Won’t some of the Dems that voted Yea just walk that back in Jan?

Possibly yes. To save Obama from vetoing a popular bill. They’ll probably try to filibuster the bill.

Schumer and Gillibrand in NY kissed up to Buffalo sports mogul & noted billionaire Fracker, Terry Pegula .... he should note how well they represent his business interests.

I don’t see why not. Illegal aliens waltz across the border welcomed by corrupt politicians and corrupt businessmen.

True. If Congress give us it's blessing, great, I would be glad to have them aboard but if they do not, heck with them. I wonder what would happen if the industry and States would just start building the thing?
