Referencing his USA Today op-ed in which he laid out his agenda, Cruz said Republicans must have a "big, bold positive agenda" that "focuses on three critical issues: jobs, liberty, security."
"It includes securing the border and stopping illegal amnesty," Cruz told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon while campaigning for GOP Senate candidate Dan Sullivan in Alaska. "President Barack Obama has decided to make this election on amnesty, and I think the American people recognize that's not the right solution."
Illegal immigration hurts blue-collar American workers, and Cruz said his American Energy Renaissance Act would also help enable Republicans to be "champions of working men and women" who want or have "blue-collar jobs with dignity to provide for their families." Cruz said those jobs, including union jobs in red, blue, and purple states, are under assault by an Obama administration--with its regulations--that prevents private energy firms from creating high-paying jobs.
Cruz also stated that Republicans have to support an agenda to help unleash the "American energy renaissance," which includes building the Keystone XL Pipeline, stopping the Environmental Protection Agency's assault on coal, and keeping the federal government from killing high-paying jobs with burdensome regulations.
Regarding his American Energy Renaissance Act, Cruz said there is a geopolitical shift that is "strengthening America and weakening our enemies" and producing millions of high-paying jobs. After saying that it is "incredible to see the economic growth that is coming from the energy industry," Cruz added, "The one thing that can screw it up is the federal government." span>

Should Mike Lee be able to smite Hatch...
This is how the right needs to fight against amnesty. It’s about protecting jobs American citizens. It’s about protecting government resources so that it goes to benefit Americans instead of illegals.
There is only so much pie left. If illegals get a big part of it, there’s only so much left for those here legally.
"At the foundation of our civil liberties lies
the principle that denies to government officials
an exceptional position before the law and which
subjects them to the same rules of conduct
that are commands to the citizen."
Justice Louis D. Brandeis
The Republicans continue to stand up for the common man. The Democrats continue to sell out the country on behalf of foreign interests.
Thud-bump. Exactamundo.
Which is why the GOP-E hates Cruz's guts. Crushing earning power is exactly what their clients at the Chamber are all about.
"Why should I pay a guy enough to send his kid to college? We've got enough college students ..... in Bangalore!"
If the GOP fights this amnesty obscenity loudly and visibly they won’t NEED contributions from the Chamber of Commerce to win elections for the next 25 years.
And pimping illegal immigration isn't necessarily helpful.
Bingo. This is the winning strategy—protecting American workers and the safety of American children.
I'm just not sure he is sincere, and I'm convinced the Chamber would never agree with him about "middle-class wages" in any case. Those guys want us pimping out our sisters for beer money, is kinda the way it looks from here. They have always rejected ideas like "living wage" or for that matter, any wage above zero. In fact, I could see their endorsing the concept of negative wages, of requiring workers to "tip out" just to work there (this is common in the restaurant/bar business).
There is no possible case to be made, proceeding from business principles and mathematics alone, for banning slavery. Think about it. Moloch's in the house, y'all.
Were it not for his own economic interests Michael would be doing ‘All Things Considered’ on NPR.
I think you’re right. He is a Hollywood peeps, after all.
I think it was Mark Levin who was playing a clip of Obama from 2006 saying THE EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS against illegal immigration that we are using
Just play his words OVER AND OVER AND OVER - so much so that people think it is him saying it now. He makes great arguments against illegal immigration
I think you have it backwards about who is the client. Otherwise, I couldn't agree more.
A few of them. The GOP-e is just upset that Obama will get the "credit" for amnesty instead of them. That's why Boehner begged Obama to "give us a chance to do it (amnesty) right", and if they don't then go ahead with his executive order.
