I was recycled twice for Ranger school. Rolled ankle/broke ankle. Both during MTN phase. FWIW.
Still have my Airborne, Air Assault, and Pathfinder Badges.

I got lucky in Mountain Phase. Toughest weeks of my life. I came down for the 24 hour refit between field problems and had a fever of 102.3. I could hardly move and no one would sit next to me because of the mucus coming out of every hole in my face. I sat in the corner of sick call and cried because I thought I was going to be sent home.
They put me on bed rest, allowed me to eat in the chow hall, and gave me pills the size of my pinky. I woke up after 18 hours of sleep and had a temp of 97.8. Those pills are amazing.
We had more than a few guys fall on the mountains and go to sick call. They were gone the next day.

"Still have my Airborne, Air Assault, and Pathfinder Badges"Well, you can take solace in that; it's more than most folks ever get, I'd bet.
