GUN CONTROL HEADS TO FLORIDA: Background Check Amendment Rumored to be in the Works

Looks like gun control is headed to the sunshine state. Hopefully this is going to be defeated or else citizen’s gun rights are going to be picked off, state-by-state.

Voters in the state of Washington sidestepped NRA-friendly politicians on Election Day and approved a measure that requires background checks on all gun sales.

A similar amendment could make its way to Florida, says Patti Brigham, who leads the League of Women Voters’ gun safety committee.

Voters in Washington approved a shell game that was designed to frustrate legitimate firearm ownership including sales and transfers, even if temporary, while being sold something totally different by the wealthy ruling elite liberals.

I’m glad they changed the law so that it takes 60 percent of the voters to approve an amendment. Hopefully, the Miami Dade/Broward/Palm Beach County vote machine won’t be able to pump out enough votes to get to 60%.

But then the real reason they put it on the ballot is for democrat GOTV. I’m certain RKBA supporters will be motivated to come out and vote as well. So it may just be a good thing for us in 2016. Whether it helps or hurts them in the 2016 presidential election, they’ll have to get the signatures first to put it on the ballot.

Not sure about a petition for FL for ‘16. I DO know that if the legislature doesn’t pass the initiative in NV this session, it will be on the ‘16 ballot and the truck loads of money will be pouring in to push hard for it. Not to mention visits from the moms and the margabby puppet show ad nauseum. Hopefully the RKBA groups will have enough in their coffers to help but I’m not counting on it. We’ll probably be left hanging like the folks in WA were.

They will never give up, never sleep, never admit their error. They simply need to be shut down, every time.

No, I don't think so.

Gun control is dead in the South.

If it’s okay for the Civil Right to own a gun then it’s okay for the Civil Right of voting.

Background checks to vote!

“they” have become a multi-headed monster with a whole lot of cash. Truck loads of it. And they will stop at nothing to convince the no/low info voters to rally around for “safety”.

I live in Palm Beach County, and certainly most of my fellow citizens here are liberal. Having said that, however, I know LOTS of liberals down here (including some in my own family) who are just fine with people owning guns. Lots of hunters down here too.
