There is no Second Amendment right to own guns. So intended the founders!

NM PING!
Elections HAVE consequences!
Try us, Obamaholes.
They are correct.
That right came from our creator.
The Second Amendment simply says the government cannot interfere with that right.
In 1791, fewer than 15 percent of the white male population, mostly untrained in the military use of weapons, possessed guns.
In this respect he is right, the 2nd grants no rights to own a gun. This right in God-given and predates the invention of gunpowder.

They will never stop trying to assume complete control. They cannot do that as long as we are armed.

The Second Amendment doesn’t even mention the word “guns.” It says specificially that the right concerns ARMS. That’s a broad category and includes ALL WEAPONS one might “bear.”
And what it says it that that right shall not be infringed. Look up the meaning of “infringed” and then tell me how a gun, being an “arm” in the 2A sense, can be prohibited without infringing that right.
Section I
Whereas a well-trained militia comprised of the citizens is necessary to the security of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Section II
Whereas taxes may indirectly infringe or otherwise constrain the obtaining of arms, no tax or fee of any kind shall be placed on any form of armament or munitions.
Section III
This amendment shall apply to the United States, the several States, and all subdivisions of both.
Wow! Bill Whittle nailed this one.

The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretence by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both.
Rights came from our Creator ...
Thanks for the good reminder.
Anyone who wants to take our guns should have to come out here in fly-over country and deal with varmints like coyotes and rats. Maybe try to reason with them or something.
I guess people that live in gated communities with armed security don’t have to worry about some of the stuff we mere mortals do.
“let’s revisit the second amendment”
No, let’s revisit the idea of my size 13 boot upside your backside.
CC
I think we have the right to anything that can be fired from the shoulder!
There are plenty of “coyotes and rats” in Blue States, the problem is they are allowed to vote!!
John Greenspan wrote “My conservative friends won’t like this, but try as I may, I cannot find a private right to possess firearms in the Second Amendment. I would be opposed to a total ban on guns as was the case in New York and D.C., but I think the Supreme Court got it wrong in the Heller case.”
........................
The first 10 amendments to the Constitution are all about individual rights, of course. How dumb does one have to be to see that the second amendment does not confer any rights to us, it merely codifies the human right of self-defense by forbidding the government from taking away our right to self-defense with firearms.
