Its really all about preventing anyone from seeing any conservative ideals and beginning to consider them.
Nothing brings down the wrath of the internet stasi faster than a conservative calmly discussing the advantages of the free market with a liberal calm enough to listen. In one day I picked up over 200 unite blue followers who thought they could harass and intimidate me into silence. They even tried to threaten my followers for following a “racist”. (I said that a good free marketeer doesn’t care what color his customers are because the money is all just as good.)
