Russian state TV has broadcast what it claimed to be a photo of the moment Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down by a Ukrainian fighter jet. But many commentators dismissed the image as a "crude fake".

Late on 14 November, Russia's state-controlled Channel One TV broadcast what appeared to be a satellite photo of a passenger plane and a jet fighter in the skies above Donetsk, a separatist stronghold in Ukraine. It was, the report said, the moment the Ukrainian jet fired a missile at MH17.

The next "satellite image" to be published by Russian TV will be an extra zoomed in shot revealing the pilot in his cockpit, with a swastika emblazoned on his helmet and reading Mein Kampf as he pulls the trigger.

Was it? I saw another article from the Daily Mail, but which did not challenge the image, whereas this BBC one points out the response to it.

The Soviet union had seventy odd years to perfect propaganda and this is the caliber of work they are capable of? Somebody in the secret state police needs to work on their photoshop skills.

Other than to manifold inconsistencies already spotted, the separating missile is aimed in the wrong direction. You do not shoot directly at a moving target, you lead it. Radar guided missiles put in just enough lead so as to not to have to maneuver in the end game. Looks fake.

Everything a Russian says is a lie, including “and” and “the.”

Gubmint contracts rarely get the quality of workmanship available from those independent of gubmint. To wit, Barry’s easy-to-identify fraudulent BC and draft registration.

Real bad fake— Airport in picture is 2.5 miles

long, and plane photoshopped/overlayed over the picture

is longer by scale, so they think airplanes are

over 3 miles long... bunch of bullcrap...

In the end, it won’t matter that the pic is a fake. Russians will continue to believe what they want to believe, many will continue to think the image is real.

Look at the size of the “Ukranian Fighter Jet” compared to the fields behind. I know that there are some small farm holdings in Eastern Europe, but I don’t think there are that many 40 foot by 40 foot wheat fields anywhere.

Soviet propaganda, like Nazi propaganda was modeled upon the seminal work of Edward Bernays, chief U.S. propagandist during WW I. So, U.S. got some 10 years' worth of know-how advantage, and it shows.

But let's talk about the actual shooting down of an airliner by the Ukrainian AF.

Ukraine had 13 years to perfect shooting down of civilian airliner in cold blood. The first one they shot down in 2001 was Flight 1812 of Air Siberia and left too many traces, i.e. thermal signature of SAM missile. This time they resorted to 30 mm cannon fire. No fuss, no muss, especiall when the examiners are looking in the other direction.

The name of perp is most likely known: LTC Dmitro Yakatsuts. He shot MH17 down in cold blood and murdered 298 people.

German lawyers are already ready to get compensation to the families of murdered MH17 passengers Ukrainians murdered. There is also precedent for it - in 2003 Ukraine had to compensate the families of Israeli and Russian passengers.

That's the reason why this story is off the msm radar.
