Old Navy Chief shows up at an exclusive jewelry store 10 minutes before closing time with a ‘hot’ blond on his arm.
They pull out the most expensive stones in the shop with the intention of making a ring.
She makes her choice, the Chief says fine and pulls out a checkbook and asks to borrow the phone to make a money transfer.
When done he hands the check to the Owner, hands the stone to him and tells the girl she can come back Monday afternoon to get the ring fitted and by then the check will have cleared.
Monday AM, the Chief comes happily in the shop and announces that something is wrong and the transfer didn’t take, so just cancel the order.
“Your lady friend will be disappointed”
“She will get over it BUT I sure did have one hell of a weekend”.
Really got to keep you eye on these old Vets ALL the time.
