Angus King is a national embarrassment elected by fools from Maine. Not everyone in Maine is foolish, but those who voted for him were at that point in time.

Maine would be well served if our recently re-elected republican governor, the straight talking Paul LePage, would take on Angus when Angus comes up for re-election.

KING: This is one guy. I don’t know who this guy was. All I know is that it’s important for people to have health insurance. And if you guys are saying people shouldn’t have health insurance, I don’t know where you’re coming from.

KING: Are you that cruel?

Shaming tactic by King. All emotion, no logic or reason. That's pretty much all the Progs are reduced to now on ObamaCare: it's basically falling apart in front of our eyes and one of the "architects" of the thing admits that the logical/reason-based arguments for it never really existed in the first place.

I'm really glad that the guy decided to stay put and not caucus with the GOP.

But also note that Conservatives need to come up with better rebuttals to this kind of attack. We seem to go onto the defensive way to easily, which is exactly where the attack is meant to put us.

Americans should NEVER allow the government and politicians to commit fraud to gain their support. FRAUD is precisely what Obama and the Democrats have committed against the American people.

If the government would leave the market alone it would be cheap and as easy as car insurance.

Effectively, with that analogy, you just declared the individual mandate to be legitimate. In most States, if you want to drive on public roads, then car insurance is mandatory.

I actually saw on the news in Houston an interview with two different doctors who were finally admitting that patients were complaining that when they showed up to receive services, they had to pay out of pocket because the $6000(minumum) deductible had to be satisfied first. The patients were shocked..... duh, we’ve been telling this all along.

That’s because operating an automobile is a priviledge and not a right. You can own a car without insurance if you never drive it or don’t have a DL.

It’s the condition for getting the tags registered. Before TN required the insurance I would carry non-insured motorist just in case. I still do.

It’s not like the mandate for health insurance in that if you don’t own a car you don’t have to buy it. The health insurance market should be easy and cheap. There would be as many commercials on TV as their are now for car insurance. You could buy ala cart so men wouldn’t have to carry pre-natal care insurance for themselves like the Obamacare mandate requires (ridiculous).

“That’s because operating an automobile is a priviledge and not a right.”

100% Wrong. The right to travel is a GOD given right!

The automobile is the current form of transportation, just as water travel was in 1776.

Gruber and Zeke Emmanuel should be brought up on criminal charges for perpetrating fraud against the American public!

What a dim bulb, and he had no look of shame after his stupid comments. This turnip has a Heritage conservative voting record of zero. And to think that some wanted to recruit this “independent” into the GOP after the GOP won the Senate.

These Leftists really do believe their own BS.

It’s called a Freudian slip and shows the real state mind.

I'm not so sure it was a Freudian slip. Looking at the video it looks like to me that he was deliberately and arrogantly bragging to his big government buddies.

I posted the same thing in another thread....that Gov. Paul LePage should challenge Angus King in 2018 when he, Paul LePage, is term-limited for governor.

My point is that your suggestion that buying health insurance should be equivalent to buying auto insurance is not a valid analogy unless you like the ACA for the very reasons you cite here.

I think King’s banking on the Dems taking back the Senate in 2016. He figures he can handle being in the minority for two years, and Harry Reid will reward him for his loyalty.

OBAMA’S ULTER UBRIS: “I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policy than my policy directors. I think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

“As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, because America gave him the White House based on the same credentials.” ~Newt Gingrich

Perfect Quote

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a
way that you can quickly understand them. This quote
came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has
it figured out. It was translated into English from an
article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a
citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the
Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the
follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the
necessary common sense and good judgment to a
depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their
president. The problem is much deeper and far more
serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what
ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not
blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made
him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack
Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely
to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made
him their president.”
