ObamaCare architect - lack of transparency helped law pass; 'stupidity of the American voter'
The Daily Caller, Fox News.com ^ | November 11, 2014 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 11/11/2014 8:18:05 AM PST by Patriot777

ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber said that lack of transparency was a major part of getting ObamaCare passed, and that it was written in such a way as to take advantage of "the stupidity of the American voter." Gruber, the MIT professor who served as a technical consultant to the Obama administration during ObamaCare’s design, also made clear during a panel quietly captured on video that the individual mandate, which was only upheld by the Supreme Court because it was a tax, was not actually a tax.“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk-rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”

I agree that it was the abject stupidity of thousands of American voters (not to leave out illegal immigrants and Democratic criminal activity) to vote Otyrant into office, BUT---how is it that it was "the stupidity of the American voter" to pass OfraudaCare??? It wasn't placed before us to vote on, good grief! No way, buddy! This 'edict' was put into place purely by the imperial democrats and the snake-in-chief.

Democrat voters don’t get a pass. They were out there in the streets screaming for it and now they need their idiot faces rubbed in it.

What about the abject stupidity of the Republican Party for not finding this out before now. Do you mean to tell me that NOBODY could find out this kind of stuff BEFORE the 2012 election?

We are dealing with corruption on BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE!!!

Every day it’s a stick in the eye of America.
They release their outrageous deeds in measured amounts to
keep beating down our country.
Nothing ever comes of these outrages—because its psy-ops.

Not news here. It is well known by posters here that it is SOP for dems to lye to get their way. What is news is that someone actually admits it!

If someone lies to you with deadly consequences, what would be appropriate for such a person to reasonably expect?

“You are all moving onto special reservations where the US government will feed you”

“All Jews must report to the street outside Babi Yar with a suitcase. You will be resettled elsewhere”

“All city dwellers in Cambodia must move to the fields. We are conducting an agricultural reform”.

In my opinion, a political leader or advisor who deliberately tricks the populace into doing something he knows they don’t want, and which will kill many of them,, should expect harsh and even lethal personal reprisals. I know I would were it me. I hope he is well protected and safe until he comes out and says he was wrong, repents, and tries to correct his treachery.
In the colonies he would have been tarred and feathered. This was not always harmless humiliation.

Go back and look at FR archives in 2008-2009. Republican lawmakers were well aware of the details and consequences of enacting this law. They offered amendment after amendment to ameliorate those consequences, but Rats voted them all down. Republican lawmakers were totally shut out of the process and, in the end, not a single Republican voted for it.

Conservative news outlets and talk radio covered it in detail. Citizens who were paying attention knew what would come to pass and there have been few surprises.

Those who just watched the MarxistMedia only heard them extol the virtues of the law. They rarely covered Republican objections over it and if they did, it was in a negative light. Obama was The One, after all.

So don’t go blaming the Republican Party. Those who didn’t know had their heads stuck in the sand. It was there plain as day for all to see if they bothered looking.

With this admission of intentional deceit and fraudulent representation of the bill, is there no legal action that can be taken?
