I watched him for about ten minutes a few years ago....That was enough for me. He has some problems
you sir, win word use of the day - I'm not familiar with "palaver"
palaver
pa¦la|ver
Pronunciation: /pəˈlɑːvə
informal
Definition of palaver in English:
noun [mass noun]
1Prolonged and tedious fuss or discussion: mucking around with finances and all that palaver
my pop does as well. It's soul crushing to the point of having to limit our contact as he is so toxic. It is commonplace for him to hold grudges for any perceived slight (despite the fact the other person is unaware of them). He is also prone to calculated revenge & has at times actively sabotaged my professional career at the family business
I would suggest a book called "The Wizard of OZ and other Narcissists in my life". It addresses NPD in familial relationships and friendships.
It puts everything into perspective
He’s a little weird, but I have to say, considering the truth he’s exposed about the Left, I do not quite understand the purity test given here by so many folks that clearly hate him.
He protects the country, that’s what I care about.
Somehow through his faith, which I don’t believe in, he at least also preaches the gospel. That I like, too.
Are Beck and Boehner twin sons from different mothers?
Beck is a total nut job...
No, Glenn is not a TOTAL nut job, he just has a personality disorder which he uses to manipulate folks. Talk radio is infected with such folks and it makes the listening ‘interesting’. Those who do not see the disorder and instead are draw into hero worship of Glenn are the type Joel Osteen makes his fortune off of ...
Yes he has. In the darkest days of 2009 he fed us who and what the entire Team Lear Deader was and is. I was a bit suspect of his "pivot point", little did I know his big announcement was his health.
If he decides to retire, I think many of us would all want to be at the party to stand and cheer what he has done, for us. No MD on this end, but if he got away from the never ending news cycle and challenges we face, and did something bucolic like being a gentlemen farmer growing things and a bit of ranching if he had the energy to do so and never listened to the news again, it might help and I think many would wish him well in that endeavor. It would be well earned, he has done his time in the breech.
Its all about me, me, meeeee! :=)
I listen to GB every day. But can we at least agree that Pat & Stu are the life support for his show, and when they’re on & he’s not, the show rocks along just fine?
He should lay off the gluten! That’s how the Clinton grandspawn was sired!
He’s pivoting around like the bamster now. I feel sorry for the guy. His mom committed suicide when he was young and it has set him into a lot of self destructive mess in life.
My heart goes out to you both. I have been studying psych and on facebook listen to the horror stories of those who now suffer from Chronic PTSD from child abuse. Extreme end of the bell curve, I am sure but heartbreaking. Thank you for the suggestion of the book Rev and I will share it with the others.
Sounds eerily similar to demon possession in the Bible. He publicly denounces conservative Christians who question his heretical beliefs...
LOL Me, too! Only Alzheimers runs in my family along with rheumatoid arthritis then add in grand mal seizures for 15 years and that’ll cause a short circuit.
Stress is the trigger for me, which I consider faithlessness in the Holy Christ. ;-)
My son’s stepmom just died 2 weeks ago and she was anemic for years and the docs in small town never figured it out but had her on lots of meds. I think her mom may have had your disorder. She was only 44 and I posted a thread for prayer for her when she was found dead at work, resuscitated and given 2 more weeks to be with her daughter.
By the way, she lost her true love and then got sick. He died of cancer.
“Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Sorry about your dad Rev. It’s sad when someone who is supposed to be there for you is instead against you and using you for their own ego gratification.
I haven’t spoken to my mom in years, nor the rest of my dysfunctional family and have never been happier. We have to find new positive surrogate mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers.
I have that book, in fact just lent it to a friend who just realized her mother has NPD. There are a dozen or so books on the subject on Amazon (just search for narcissist or narcissism). I have quite a few of them ;)
One interesting thing is some are specifically for daughters of narcissistic mothers. Hul, have you come across anything in your studies if females are more often narcissistic?
