Agreed. I would hate to see an opportunity in 2016 just become a pissing contest over the past presidencies of Bush and Clinton.

Ok..

Lets make a list of the potential players for the 2016 Republican nomination and start listing their strengths and weaknesses

Michelle Bachmann - to me... she comes off as a little crazy.. plus she has no executive experience.

John Bolton - I don't think America is ready for the stash.

Jeb Bush - has the executive experience I think will be needed and demanded in our next president, but carries to much family baggage and uniquely negates the strongest case against Hillary (political dynasty, return to the past, washington insider, referendum on Bill vs W presidencies, ect).

Herman Cain - too much personal baggage.

Newt Gingrich - too much personal baggage and an image problem.

Sarah Palin - major image problem, and although I love her personally, I don't think she's the right candidate to go up against Hillary.

Chris Christie - Has the executive experience and the forcefulness I think will be needed to beat Hillary and run rough shod over the Democrats in congress once taking office, but he is a RINO and should not be trusted by conservatives.

Ted Cruz - Amazing man, strong conservative, great story, very articulate and would totally destroy Hillary in any debate, exposing her for the clueless unqualified shill she really is. But... he doesn't have any executive experience, and to me... personally... he ... looks a little dorky... I KNOW that shouldn't matter, but it's something I felt I needed to bring up. Cruz would be my personal favorite if I could appoint one man.. but the reality is.. he has to be elected.

Lindsey Graham - backstabbing Rino pansy (I HATE this guy!)

Mike Huckabee - lovable idiot, no thanks.

Bobby Jindal - executive experience, good conservative in general, great story, but like Cruz ... suffers from ... slight dorkiness...

Rand Paul - also suffers from the dorkiness thing... plus no executive experience

Rick Perry - Best executive resume in the US, good looking, articulate, and a pretty good conservative on most issues. But... he had better of been in debate training these last 4 years!! Because if he hasn't improved DRAMATICALLY in his ability to debate... I can't and wont support him.

Marco Rubio - Nice looking, good resume, good story, no executive experience though, and can't be completely trusted on some crucial conservative issues. That said.. he is articulate and would be a strong candidate.

Paul Ryan - where's he been? I don't know about him anymore.

Mitt Romney - Good looking, articulate, and has the executive experience... but while there's a part of me that wishes he would just ride off into the sunset, there is another part of me that thinks he would be a good president. I also think he would be a much better match-up against Hillary than he was against Obama. He like a few of the others can't be trusted completely by conservatives, but depending on who the alternatives offered are ... I could see supporting him in certain situations.

Rick Santorum - oh please, old frothy, please go away. Dorky, no executive experience, and I honestly just don't like the guy, and think he would be a really bad choice to go up against Hillary. Santorum might be the only potential candidate besides maybe Cain or Newt that could allow the “war on women” meme to actually stick in 2016.

Donald Trump - clown, no thanks.

Your analysis agrees with mine almost word for word.

OK, I laughed! But for 2016, even Ted Cruz is no John Wayne.

wow.. hadn’t thought of that.

Walker is like the conservative version of Christie, he has the executive experience and has the willpower to forcefully run roughshod over the liberals in congress if elected. He would be a great candidate if he choose to run. Good Add!

Thanks! He is my favorite right now because he has the executive experience and real results while being the target of some very nasty and underhanded liberal tactics. He seems “battle tested” at this point and if there is any dirt on him, it would have come out by now. However, NEVER underestimate the ability of the Left to make stuff up and have the mainstream media play along.

It was for Hillary to lose—she has blown it with her book tour, attempts to get people elected, and her reaction to Bengazi. Also, she is looking long in the tooth-—IF she had tossed Obama under the bus, spoken the truth anout Bengazi, really showed she would be a good president—maybe show how Hillarycare was better than Obamacare etc... she would be a shoe in. Trying to out Obama—will not work. Say Hello to President Walker and Vice President Romney.

Several years ago he wrote a column and inserted “If you ever dine out in Oakland, be sure and order the soup...that way you’ll have someplace to drop your jewelry when the place gets robbed.”
