A liberal’s compassion always seems to come at someone
else’s ezpense, and it’s always weighed in the political
balance.

Yep, read this when it popped in the snail mail about a week ago. Already have marked it for retrieval at the library... looks quite interesting.

A Liberal’s “compassion” usually starts and ends at a Conservative’s Wallet.

Ever wonder why Liberals have locks on their Doors?
The only People that would actually Rob them are their fellow Liberals.

Liberals are scheming Satanist weasels rather than truly compassionate (this article is far too charitable towards liberals). Every candidate who called himself a “compassionate conservative” also revealed himself as a scheming moonbat, so a reflexive distrust of politicians and theorists who emphasize “compassion” will serve one well.

In reality, compassion is a finite resource from man but an infinite resource from the LORD. Leftists pretend to focus on compassion at the expense of other values; they love to misquote the “turn the other cheek” verse and say that conservatives should just lie down and take it from criminals because criminals have had “hard lives” or some other gobbledygook. They may be deluded enough to believe that they have infinite compassion, but tell them that you believe in compassion for the wealthy and the middle class by cutting their taxes, and their heads will explode!

True compassion is setting up a society which follows God’s laws and ONLY God’s laws. Government beyond God’s laws is inherently evil and elitist; government without God’s laws is anarchic and hedonistic. True compassion is introducing Scripture to those who seek, and destroying those who wish to inhibit others from learning about Scripture. True compassion has nothing to do with stealing material goods from others and giving them to the lazy, and contrary to popular cliches has nothing to do with mandating “hand-ups”; true compassion has nothing to do with the material world.

In the end, the only poverty line which matters is God’s poverty line.

Social Security payments are welfare? Bullsh#$. I paid into it for 44 years and I’ll need to live to age 113 to break even on the deal. My Mom paid in for 32 years and collected benefits for two months before she died. Guess who got all of her contributions? SS needs to be a plan where you have the option to opt out or, if you stay in, you can pass the net present value of your benefits onto your estate. SS as welfare? Bull crap.

Freedom is more precious than money, especially free money that comes with denigrating strings attached. Am I not more compassionate, who grieve the theft of FREEDOM from my fellow citizens, and would do something about it, than a lib who just wants to give them an EBT card?

there are something like 70 programs on the federal level that can be described as welfare programs

liberal compassion is just emotionalism, and since it is a form of irrationality, it leads to destruction and misery for everyone in the long run.

Solomon summed it up nicely with this proverb:

Proverbs 12:10 - "...the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."

This assessment also provides an answer to the question of why liberals always want a bigger welfare state. It’s because the politics of kindness is about validating oneself rather than helping others, which means the proper response to suffering is always, “We need to do more,”

BINGO! William Voegeli understands 'liberals'...
