3 Recalls by type of political office 4 See also 5 References Recall is a process available in most jurisdictions whereby an elected official can be removed from office either for malfeasance or in some jurisdictions for any action the recall language specifies. For recalls, most state laws have set the highest signature threshold for any type of petitionmost often requiring 25% of all registered voters or 25% of voters in the last election for the recalled office to sign a recall petition. Statewide recall
Currently, nineteen states permit the recall of state officials: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin.[1]
Officials eligible by state
Many states allow for the recall of all elected officials, while others only allow for recall in limited cases.

Anyone know of any specific Democrat corruption?? Live in one of these states/?
Colorado in the last year took out two hoplaphobe Democrats. Unfortunately this November, the Rats won back those seats.
I don’t think we need to do any ticky-tac stuff at this
point. Don’t recall a politician because you want power
and you disagree w/him like the Rats tried in Wisconsin.
But, if you got someone in mind who is seen as incompetent
or crooked by significant numbers on all sides then go for
it.
In every place where our side has taken over we need to
demonstrate success. That is how we get more power.
When my conservative congressman was elected to his first term, the liberals immediately tried to recall him for no other reason than because he won.
They failed.
A recall election is expensive.
The Democrats called one to oust Walker in Wisconsin and they lost big.
We need to have a few lefty judges impeached and removed.
That would be more productive.
It didn’t make much news but the day after the attempt to recall Walker failed, they dropped their attempt to recall Rick Snyder in Michigan.
Never attempt a recall or impeachment without a damn good and very clear reason.
I agree.
Sad news the two Colorado state senate seats we won in recalls, we lost on Tuesday
We did that here in California. We got a guy that was a Republican, or at least that’s what he said he was. You would have never known just by observing him. Since that time Dems have done nothing but gain power. They now have super-majorities in both houses. Didn’t work out so well here.
Grey Davis? He was a Demorat!
We got Arnie out of that. He was supposedly a Republican.
Not until we get a Republican President to replace them.
Perhaps it was your candidate/governor Mr. Schwarzenegger rather than the process.
Oh, OK; I see your point.
I meant further down the line, at state levels.
I thought the dems lost their super-majority in The California Assembly and Senate on Tuesday?
Did they? Great!
I was following the returns on election night and somewhere.....I think it was here on FR.....mentioned that both the CA Assembly and Senate are two or three seats short of a super-majority as a result of last Tuesday’s election.
Any California freepers out there know if this is the case?
I found this
