A Utah dad foiled an attempt to kidnap his young daughter from her bed early Friday after confronting a man carrying her across the lawn.
The 5-year-old girl wasn't hurt in the frightening experience, but the incident has evoked haunting echoes of when 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart was snatched out of her Salt Lake City bedroom in 2002. She was held captive for nine months before being found.

I can’t believe it didn’t read “killed a man who was walking across the lawn with his daughter”
Asking him what he was doing? What, he didn’t invite him in for a caramel mocha latte, too?
And yet another case that demands street justice. A trial is a waste of good money on bad rubbish.
For all the bleeding hearts who demand the animals “right” to a “fair” trial come on out. I dare you to tell me what mistakes might be made by swift justice being meted out.
A bullet in the brain and a backhoe is all that is needed to take care of this problem. The sooner the better.
There is an episode of Criminal Minds where some hitman is on the witness protection system and his daughter gets kidnapped by some sick guy that tortures them and kills them. The hitman catches up to the perp with his daughter just steps ahead of the FBI.
The hitman is standing there with a shotgun with the daughter screaming “Kill him Daddy - kill him!”
The FBI guy is trying to stop it. “Is this what you want your daughter to see? Listen to her - is that what you want her to turn into? When will it end?”
BOOM.
“Tomorrow”
My daughter’s favorite scene of perhaps anything. “I’m guessing that is what you would do - right dad?”
It reminds me of the kidnapping and murder of Jessica Lunsford in Florida.
That discussion with the perp shoulda started with ( BLAM BLAM) “Excuse me sir, you’re bleeding all over my fresh mowed lawn. Please stop that.”

Yes, but I believe the Ramsey case is closer to home. Incidentally, I did a search of this guy, Troy Morley. I found a person by the same name who looks like him and has worked/lived in the Denver area for most of his life; he’s an IT specialist, corporate advisor, and he works with some kind of youth ministry near Denver. Who knows?
With what the democraps have accomplished over the past forty years in the court system, this filth will be back on the streets to go after another child in a matter of probably months. Terminating his access by sending him to Hell is the ONLY WAY to protect5 future children from him.
I scared the ever loving sweet Jesus out of everybody in a Burger King when an old homeless guy tried to get my little girl to come over to his table and see the bird he had in a pet carrier. He waited until I got up from the table to refill my drink and approached her. People were upset with me, but clearly the guy was up to no good as he left half his trash behind in an effort to get away from me.
I almost wanted to scream, “You better run because I’m coming and hell is coming with me!”
I tell her never ever go with anyone without my permission; you will never be seen again. I tell her there is evil in the world and we need to be aware of it.
Shoot. Shovel. Shut up.
Thank you. My exact thought and I’m surprised no one but you and I mentioned it.
It is also of value to password-protect your child.
Oprah Winfrey did a fantastic special on this matter many years ago. It should be required viewing by literally everyone.
In the show, a detective talked about how easy it was to lure a child away, even children who were trained by their parents. Then the detective ran mock abductions in a local park. In every case, the detective (playing as a criminal) was able to lure away the child!
One thing the detective suggested was a password. When a stranger says "come here and see this" or "your dad sent me to get you", the child is to answer with "what is the password?"
The method works - so says the detective - because it trains the child to focus on the password, and not get distracted by the situation.
“Who in the world doesnt lock their doors when they go to bed at night?”
My wife. Or, turn off the outside lights...even though it’s like daylight thru the windows if she doesn’t. That’s why I’m the last one in bed at night. No amount of urging, begging, yelling convinces her. She doesn’t do it on purpose...she’s just forgetful. And, she’s a very smart lady, but...forgetful.
Time to move, that was in the neighborhood home area of another girl kidnapped.
In Texas he would have had lead enter him from 5 directions. At that point we might have gotten around to asking him why he’s taking away one of our kids...if we felt like it.

Why should the father have to waste diesel digging that grave when the perp is entirely capable of doing it by hand?
“What, he didnt invite him in for a caramel mocha latte, too?”
This was in Utah, not Seattle.
Cant fathom my level of violence on such trash ........were it my daughter.
Damn.......
