For those who haven't heard, today Ben Carson announced that he's officially running for president.
I was over at DU, and happened to see their thread on the subject. I was so appalled, I just had to post a link to it here.
So here's what Carson will be up against from the left if he should happen to win the primary (personally, though, I'm a Ted Cruz guy).

I find it really interesting that the left is actually questioning Carson's obvious intelligence. As far as I can tell, virtually all conservative black public figures are unusually bright, articulate and accomplished, whereas virtually all black Democrat public figures -- from Obama to Al Sharpton to Hank Johnson to virtually the entire Congressional Black Caucus are demonstrably challenged intellectually.
Anyway, I know we're not supposed to post DU threads here on FR, but I really think this one needs to be seen.
So consider it my counterpart to DUmmie FUnnies -- only in this case, it's DUmmie UGlies that require no additional comment from me.
Are they really gonna try to claim a Neurosurgeon from Johns Hopkins is not intelligent?

You left out HALF ARAB. I think the Obungas are more Arab than Kenyan. Kenyan by birthplace, Arab by bloodline. He’s a human version of Heinz 57.
I think he is too soft spoken to be a dynamic candidate and his 2nd A. position is a non-starter. But he may serve well as a magnet to draw out the severe racism that exists on the left. 0bama has revealed one side of that coin and Carson could bring the other side into the light of day.

Dr Carson is a wonderful man, but he is definitely not presidential material.

Ben would be good for Secretary of HHS.
He has no governmental executive experience.
So, he is not viable to me as a Presidential candidate.
His statements on the rights in the Second Amendment trouble me. They are colored with ambiguity borne out of urban experiences. Such experiences do not determine a right.
It’s about time we had a competent manager in the White House, and one who believes in all of the Bill of Rights.
I like Ben Carson but he has zero chance to be nominated. He has no governmental or administrative experience. I can’t help but wonder if the RINOs are trying to do the same thing as in 2012, flood the field with conservatives with only one moderate Republican. Don’t let them get away with this.
So what does that mean???
I’d much rather have a POTUS from UofM than Harvard Law. And that’s coming from a Purdue fan....
