Press Gives Obama Raspberries For Remarks
Investors.com ^ | November 6, 2014 | John Merlin

If the reaction to President Obama's post-election press conference is any indication, he's in Dutch not only with voters but with the mainstream press as well, after several gave Obama two thumbs down for his performance. The Daily Beast's Jonathan Alter, for one, was not impressed. "His post-election press conference was too long, too provocative and too stingy in his phoned-in praise for the winners. Obama managed the extraordinary feat of making (Senate Minority Leader Mitch) McConnell look gracious by comparison." Politico's White House reporter, Josh Gerstein, poked holes in Obama's defense of his record. "President Barack Obama and his aides are arguing that the stinging defeat Democrats suffered at the polls Tuesday wasn't a rejection of the policies he's advocated over the past six years. ... But that line of argument might not be the best one to boost Obama's post-midterm standing, as it leads to a conclusion even more uncomfortable for the White House: that voters were instead passing judgment on Obama himself." Dana Milbank at the Washington Post led his take on Obama's remarks this way: "'I hear you,' President Obama said to the voters who gave Democrats an electoral drubbing in Tuesday's midterm elections. But their message went in one presidential ear and out the other."

Paragraphs:

If the reaction to President Obama’s post-election press conference is any indication, he’s in Dutch not only with voters but with the mainstream press as well, after several gave Obama two thumbs down for his performance.

The Daily Beast’s Jonathan Alter, for one, was not impressed.

“His post-election press conference was too long, too provocative and too stingy in his phoned-in praise for the winners. Obama managed the extraordinary feat of making (Senate Minority Leader Mitch) McConnell look gracious by comparison.”

Politico’s White House reporter, Josh Gerstein, poked holes in Obama’s defense of his record.

“President Barack Obama and his aides are arguing that the stinging defeat Democrats suffered at the polls Tuesday wasn’t a rejection of the policies he’s advocated over the past six years. ... But that line of argument might not be the best one to boost Obama’s post-midterm standing, as it leads to a conclusion even more uncomfortable for the White House: that voters were instead passing judgment on Obama himself.”

Dana Milbank at the Washington Post led his take on Obama’s remarks this way:

“’I hear you,’ President Obama said to the voters who gave Democrats an electoral drubbing in Tuesday’s midterm elections. But their message went in one presidential ear and out the other.”

It was too difficult to read the ‘tea leaves’ on this one!

Obama is so self centered he really doesn’t care. He’s set for life. Everyone doesn’t recognize his genius? That’s their problem.

The media is well aware of the damage Obama has done to Liberalism. All that they hold dear is at risk because he is a tone-deaf, arrogant politician of little skill.

The media will have a hard time forgiving him for this failure. There will be retribution -- in part, to thoroughly clear the way for Hillary.

And how bad will things get for Obama if the press is no longer there to shield him?

If the truth were known I’d bet 0bama wishes it were the end of his eighth year coming up rather than his sixth.

The central Republican message for the House and the Senate was Obama’s quote that Obama’s policies were on the ballot. Just as Obama won in 2008 by not being George W. Bush and again in 2012 by still not being George W. Bush, we won this year by not being Barack Hussein Obama.

ABC News tonight, two days after one of the biggest mid-term elections ever, did not have one story on it.

ABC’s election night ratings were abysmal, beaten not only by CBS & NBC, but purely obliterated by FOX:

No one likes an arrogant liar like Hussein. “not a smidgeon of corruption” Lies everytime he opens his mouth and then goes to play golf. He is not liked.

Don’t trust anything coming out of the MSM. They are simply trying to gain credibility for 2016. No one should be surprised at them doing a 180. They gave this administration and the Senate 6 years of support for Obama’s every move.
